i have a few words for shippers as well though: you need to step away from antis. block them, cut them off, ignore them, whatever you need to do to avoid seeing them and feeling the need to engage. they want you to pay attention; garnering attention is the reason they continue to make inflammatory posts. don't send them anons, don't go to their blogs, don't acknowledge their existence if there's any way to avoid it. the less attention they're given, the more likely they'll be to stop posting you especially need, NEED to block discourse blogs. theyll want to @ you and reblog your posts, so don't let them. you'll feel so much better if you make yourself unavailable to them, i swear this is the only way i can see things getting any better. antis don't actually want to be civil, they don't want to help anyone, they just want drama. choosing to look the other way is the only thing that actually seems to be effective but yeah, im not saying any of this to berate any of you, i just feel that this would be an easier solution than asking a bunch of children to be mature

just some thoughts i got together while ive been away, stress free, lovin life, playin overwatch etc etc if you take a step back from everything for a while and then get a second look, it gets pretty clear how bizarre this all is. there are people blowing the shipping habits of other people out of proportion and treating trivial things as tho they have any place being handled like serious social issues. there are more important things, WAY more important things, that deserve your attention if your goal is to create social change. you aren't helping anything by whining abt people shipping on the internet. youre yelling about something that 99.99% of the time doesn't go beyond the internet or perhaps a convention center. why not focus on a real issue: many american young adults will never know a time when they aren't paying off their college loans. it's almost impossible for a single american mother to raise her child with the money from her low paying job on its own. there are enough empty homes in the usa to house every homeless person, and yet they sit there withering away. who exactly are you helping by targeting shippers on the internet and cross examining them. some spiteful survivor's feelings? no. that survivor is responsible for making a safe space for themselves. not me. not you. not some group-ran blog who publicly posts blogs for them to avoid (read: harass). people have been indulging in taboo fiction privately and harmlessly for centuries, and they will continue to do so for as long as humans are a thing. it's natural. most people have the capacity to separate fiction from reality, and those who cannot will either manage or will be punished for it. removing taboo content from the internet won't stop a predator from being a predator
