“Are you sure you're gonna be ok tonight?” Isaac scoffs “do you really think this is my first time on new years? I’m not some little puppy” reader shakes their head “ok, I’m just letting you know that there are usually teenagers that set off near here” he waves them off “yeah, yeah I get it” “alright whatever you say, I’m going to get the stuff for tonight” Isaac kicks his feet up on the couch and smirks “who do they think I am, a dog that needs-“ a loud bang can be heard out, it startles him so much he falls off the couch “W-WHAT WAS THAT?!” he looks around frenetically, another bang can be heard, his ears go down “reader?! READER?!” He goes to look for them. Reader comes home to a quiet house though all of their couch cushions are gone?… “Isaac?” They walk through the house confused, that is until they get to their room and see what looks like a pillow fort on their bed “am I intruding on something?” They see two ears pop out “reader!” He jumps out of his fort and grabs reader hands “you got to be careful we’re under attack!” “What?-"Another bang can be heard, he jumps and clings to reader. “Isaac…that’s the teenagers I was talking about..” “the what?”.

Isaac and reader sit on the couch “here” reader puts a type a scarf over his head, covering and flattening his ears “it’s called a happy hoodie my friend uses it on dogs when she blows drys them, it should work for you as well” he scowls “I can’t believe I’m wasting this” reader pats his back “hey it’s not a bad thing, no one’s really a fan of loud noise you just get use to them”. The hours passed, though the hoodie did kinda work, he felt stupid warning it “well looks like this is it” there was one minute left, he grumbled “I guess” 50 seconds, he put his arm around reader’s shoulder “you know what happens when it gets to zero right?” ,40, “it’s a new year?” He looks at them confused, reader chuckles ,30, “yeah, but there’s also the new year kiss I brought it up because I thought like one” he blushes ,20, “well I’m not saying no, I’ve just never done one” “oh come on I know you’ve kissed other people before” ,15, “well yeah but, never with someone like…” reader smirks “don’t say “someone like you” what was is the stake last night?” ,10, “ tch, don’t ruin the moment, just let me flirt” “you flirting is just saying lines from hallmark movies” ,5, “and what’s wrong with that?” “Nothing I’m just surprised you actually won people over with it” they both lean into each other as they argue, reader smirks as they put a hand on the back of his head, and just as fast as they did that the timer went down to zero and their lips lock. They both lean into each other in a warm embrace and as they break apart Isaac wags his tail “happy new year wolf boy” they smile at him “y-yeah…”
