âYou do, though.â Noah couldnât deny it, not even as a joke. His life was a lot more interesting ever since he met her, especially after having moved away from home, and with all the shit going on at work. He smirked back at her, knowing heâd touched a difficult subject, but couldnât help the teasing. âIâm not, Iâd never do that.â He shook his head, keeping her close in his arms. He felt like the happiest kid in a playground, having everything he wanted in one compact moment. Noah knew heâd feel that way when he finally kissed her, especially considering the past two weeks they spent together in the hospital. Noah also knew it was a mistake, letting himself get so involved, so enchanted by her. Elsa wasnât one to hide her intentions and he knew expecting too much from her wasnât fair to either of them.
He gently let go of her so they could get their orders, and grabbed his wallet to pay for the food. âThe toppings are over there.â He pointed at a big counter by the side while he grabbed the change and then joined her, hot dog in hand. âLook at this, itâs paradise.â Noah grinned, starving, his mouth watering when he saw all the food in front of them. He added the ketchup, the mustard and some chips to his hot dog and then stepped to the side to open space for the another costumer and wait for her. âWhere do you want to sit? Heâs got some tables over here but we can just..set up camp on the car.â He chuckled.
Elsa grinned at he agreed with her and the slight praise that came with it. âI do suppose you are fairly interesting yourself,â she smirked. She may have worded it so it came across as a tease but she did mean it. Noah wasnât like the the few men she had found herself dating and she wasnât upset with that at all. Noah had been forward with his intentions of marriage one day rather than hiding it till it strung up months later. He also just generally interested her; there was much to know and learn from the detective and she was already enjoying the short time theyâve spent together. Though sheâd keep that to herself rather than admit it to him or even her best friend for the time being. âOh, I believe you.â
âI am warning you,â Elsa said as she teasingly pointed a finger at him. âDonât harp on the relish toppings.â Elsa joked as she added a few condiments to her hotdog. She would have been happy with a plain one with a bit of mustard to dip in it but looking down at Noahâs regular order and she started to understand why he continued to order this one. âIt really fucking is,â she agreed as she looked out. Elsa had luckily always lived near water throughout her life but Eureka was far more of a paradise then Niceville. âLets camp out on the hood of your car,â Elsa said after a moment. "I assume that wonât hurt you since you suggested it,â she added. Laying out on the hood of the car sounded far more relaxing and private then if they sat down at some tables with other people surrounding them. Elsa had plans to reignite that kiss once they had finished their meal and the car certainly offered them less prying eyes than the table would.Â
