I left a part of myself with you long before we crossed over to this plane a kind of insurance deposit so when I find you I retrieve it it is strange the way I touch you just to feel myself I can’t tell if these hands are yours or mine but I use them like a lever pulling us together the stars collided long before we came here their ghosts are in attendance memories I trace along your palm all this history is written in our DNA genes I splice to get closer to you it is odd admiring myself from another body which seems to have what I lack I take the parts and become someone new a terrestrial facing the sky rather than beaming down from it born together when we die my third eye winks at me from you
