“I don’t own a cell phone. If I did people would try to contact me and I really didn’t move out to the middle of nowhere to still be in reach of human contact. Aren’t pay phones still a thing? There’s a phone in the shop but I don’t know you enough to care enough to unlock it again.”

     to say that thorne was in a bad mood was a slight understatement. sure he got hit by a car but there wasn’t any damage to the nissan’s body so he didn’t understand why he couldn’t just go. sitting cross-armed in the street, he huffed, much like an oversized toddler when a shadow loomed over him. “before you ask, yeah, i looked both ways before crossing the street. i looked both handsome and radiant, too bad i still got hit by that car.”

lux had only been in the city for work and was about to cross the street after closing up when she witnessed a familiar face -- getting hit by a car. this was going to be the highlight to her day. she’s quick to run over and join the onlookers, barely containing a laugh. “were you crossing the street with a mirror ? oh, wait, let me guess, it was jay-walking, wasn’t it ?”
