He better pray to Qlipoth this was just a nightmare. But just shy of the outskirts of Fort Qlipoth was one Sampo Koski. Clutching his stomach to prevent a wound from spilling more blood.
Oh how pink the snow below him was, with a delicate puddle of red. The color of his skin almost matched the very snow he adored. And those beautiful, playful eyes of his? The ones that light up with mischief whenever they squared off?
Those emerald eyes were dim as dim could be.
@maskednihilism || random ask, because Gepard doesn't have enough nightmares.
Gepard knows those colours, that outfit, well. As much annoyance and paperwork as the man has caused him, the Captain doesn't want him hurt. Especially not now when he has begun to turn his life around.
He wastes no time running over to where Sampo stumbles and then falls. Before the man can hit the ground, Gepard catches him. Kneeling on the ground, he takes the other into his lap. "Sampo, stay with me," he demands, noticing all the blood he has lost and the dull look in his eyes. He can't lose him. His little family can't lose him either.
Gepard rips off his cape and presses it against the wound, barking orders to the Guards who had been on patrol with him, even though he knows its too late. He has seen dying men many times before. Knowing he can't cry, not here, he keeps his emotions tightly wrapped up as the man that has slowly become his friend dies in his arms.
With a gasp, Gepard wakes up, feeling the first tears escape from his eyes. It takes a second for him to realise that he is in his room at the barracks. That he had been asleep. That it had all just been a nightmare.
Taking a few deep breaths, he then reaches for his phone.
[ Text: Sampo Koski ]: I hope you are okay.
Once that is done, he puts the phone away. It's only 02:16, he should try and get some more sleep. If he can.
