Our stay at the InterContinental Yokohama Grand. We stayed here for three nights in a room with city view so we can enjoy seeing the harbour and theme park outside our window. Had a pleasant stay in a spacious room; staff was helpful and the concierge took care of sending our luggage to the next hotel. There is a bridge that connects the hotel to Queen’s Square (a shopping mall), hence, accessible to shops, restos and public transport. Ofuna Kannon Temple seen from Ofuna Station. The statue stands at 82 feet, is a prominent feature seen if you’re on the train to and from Kamakura. She is known as the Goddess of Mercy. 🚟 the flying train or the upside-down train of Shonan Monorail. From Shonan-Enoshima Station to Ofuna Station. The tracks are attached to the roof, hence, called a “flying train”. Train Series: Enoden Line 🚃 A tiny nostalgic railway in Japan that links Fujisawa and Kamakura via Enoshima. We had en enjoyable ride from Hase Station to Enoshima Station as we passed by the scenic ocean view of Enoshima Island. One of the most beautiful temples we’ve been to. Kotokuin Temple is home to the Great Buddha of Kamakura, Amida Buddha.
