Meet musician Brendan Canning! You might know him as a founding member of Canadian indie super-group Broken Social Scene, or from them many notable acts he’s been in over the years. Brendan is sharing The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, a book his Dad read to him as a child.

Why did he pick this book?

“It’s a great fantasy story. I think every kid deserves to go to Narnia at least once in their life.”

Why does he think reading is important?

“Reading is important for kids because it helps them go to a place that they would never have visited otherwise. It helps to expand the imagination.”
