Ibrahim Afellay FANFIC - Unknown feeling

As soon as I felt the wheels touch the ground I couldn’t help but smile. Being back here in Morocco is  still great, even after all those year. You could say that de country has grown on me. After I grabbed my luggage I walked outside and stopped for a moment, closed my eyes and enjoyed the feeling of the sun touching my face. I just loved it. I took a cab to Sheila’s home, since I know how busy she always is. When I saw her home, it felt like I was home again. Kind of weird, but it really felt like that. As soon as the taxi stopped, I stepped out, paid the driver and took my luggage. Sheila came outside yelling my name, I ran towards her and we ended up hugging really tightly. She took me inside and I greeted her husband Khalid with a handshake, since it’s haram to have intimate psychical contact with man who isn’t your boyfriend or husband. Sheila offered me some Moroccan mint tea and we chatted for what seemed to be hours. Meanwhile Khalid had left to meet up with some of his friends. We talked about what happened the last few weeks, since it has been a while since I’ve seen her due my busy working schedule. ‘And, did you meet any guys who you’ve been attracted to lately?’ Sheila asked me with a naughty look. ‘No, still no man who’s interesting. Seems like all the men I meet are morons, without any values or brains.’ I meant what I said and I understood why Sheila asked me this question every time we spoke. She tries to set me up with men every time I come here and I don’t need that kind of help, it’s kind of annoying. I know she only does it to make me happy, but I’m fine. I’m single but I’m having my dream job, great friends and family. I don’t need a man to make me happy, not right now. Every time I come here, back in Morocco, she suddenly has all kinds of men ‘friends’ visiting with the crappy excuse their Khalid’s friends. And sometimes, this is true. And sometimes, I can see straight through it and I know she’s trying to set me up with one, again. Don’t get me wrong, Moroccan men are attractive with their physique and  dark hair. But those men I’ve met are all after one thing: Sex. And I am sorry, but I’m not that kind of girl. I’m not easy to get a date with in the first place, imagine how much time it will cost to get me into bed. Finding a men who wants to invest that much time into me, it seems like an impossible mission. Suddenly I was wondering where Mounir, their son, was. He was now 4 years old, slightly tanned skin, dark brown hair and brown eyes. He looked just like Khalid. I hadn’t seen him yet and kind of missed him, like really much. He feels like a cousin, he always calls me ‘aunty’ which is so sweet. ‘Sheila, is Mounir home? I missed him so much haha.’ I asked ‘No’, she replied, ‘he’s playing soccer at the square with some friends. But I’m going to make dinner, so you can pick him up if you like?’ ‘Yeah sure, if I can borrow a car?’ I asked. Since I didn’t live here, I needed a car to pick him up since walking back and forth was about an hour. ‘Sure, pick the Audi, it’s Mounir’s fave.’ ‘Kay Sheila, see you in a bit.’ I replied and grabbed the car keys ‘Make him hungry!’ she shouted ‘I’m cooking loads of stuff!’ ‘I will’ I smiled and went to the garage. Little secret: I’ve falling in love with Audi since I was 16. Since then I’ve always wanted to drive an Audi A5 and since I’ve gotten my dream job, I actually do drive in an A5 which is so cool! But Sheila and Khalid had both an Audi A5 here in Al Hoceima, so I was lucky and just picked one. After a drive of 20 minutes, I saw the well known square appear and I parked my car. First I sat for a little while, just looking at Mounir playing and having fun with 2 other kids and a men which I only saw from the back. Someday I hope to start my own family. But that will happen, I hope. The two others kids were pulled away by their mothers, since it was almost dinner time. That was also the point of which I snapped out of my kind of daydreaming. I stepped out of the car, happy with my maxi skirt I was wearing, since it was so hot my legs would burn immediately. I wore an black maxi skirt with an simple white top with a V neck combined with an golden belt, golden watch, a few small golden bangle bracelets and simple, black sandals with golden details and small golden earrings to finish it. I put on my sunglasses and walked towards the square. As I came closer, Mounir recognized me and stopped playing. ‘YASMIN’ he yelled and running towards me. As he reached me, I hugged him really tightly. ‘What are you doing here?’ He asked me with a happy face ‘Coming to pick you up, your mother is making dinner and it’s time to eat some of that delicious food.’ ‘Okay! But pleaaaase can you let me finish this little game I was playing? A few more minutes, right Ibrahim?’ He was looking towards the man I saw earlier from the car. ‘Yes, a few more mintues, IF you can beat me Mounir.’ He said smiley. ‘If that is okay with you and Sheila?’ He asked looking towards me. ‘Yeah it’s okay. It’s been a while since I saw Mounir live in action.’ I smiled and looked at them playing. After some minutes, Mounir managed to play trough Ibrahim’s legs and I understood that was the point of the game, since Mounir started to smile and scream ‘I’VE WON I’VE WON’. ‘Well congratulations big guy. ‘ Ibrahim said smiling while shaking Mounir’s hand. ‘It’s impressive how you’ve improved Mounir, but it’s time to go now. Say goodbye to your friend’ I said ‘Bye Ibi’ Mounir said towards Ibrahim and they hugged. Suddenly some friends of Mounir passed by and he started to chat with them. Since we did have some time left, I just let him chitchat with his friends. I turned towards Ibrahim. ‘Thankyou for playing with Mounir, it seems like he enjoys it much more like I’ve seen him playing with others. ‘No problem, it’s a lovely kid.’ He replied and looking into my eyes. ‘It was nice meeting you... Yasmin... was it right..?’ He looked towards me with a questioning face. I smiled. ‘Yes that’s correct, it was nice meeting you too Ibrahim, or should I call you Ibi since I understand that’s your nickname.’ I said almost laughing a bit. Ibi sounds like a child name, quite cute. ‘Ibrahim is completely fine haha.’ He said also almost laughing. ‘Mounir, it’s time to go.’ I called him, looked to Ibrahim for one last time and we walked towards the car. We both stepped in and I started driving Mounir home.

Summer,the greatest season of the year. And I’ve fallen in love with it already. But seriously, I hate the winter. The cold, the snow and the ice are just not my things. My mood always increases when spring arrives, so imagine how I am whenit’s summer. 2014 was a though year already, but not in a bad way. Work had been great, I’ve had so many great chances an experiences but I needed a break and some time to enjoy the season I love the most. As usual, I flew to Morocco while my free summer to visit one of my closest friends. She’s a beautiful young woman with Moroccan roots. Quite small, long brown hair, Bambi brown eyes en just really pretty. She has a really warm character, is caring for everyone around her and she’s a socialiser. Sheila and I go way back, as they say it nowadays. We met when we we’re young and our friendship grew over the years. We did everything at the same time, but not ‘together’. We went to different schools but graduated at the same time. And so we did with almost everything else in our lives. Work, sports and things like that. Except love and the consequences. She had fallen head over heels with, now her husband, Khalid. A nice young man when I met him, actually one of the less guys I met who had manners. Don’t get me wrong, I was so excited when she told me they were official. Nothings makes me happier than seeing the people I love being happy. But for me, her love story continued, a little bit too fast in my opinion. They stayed together, they got engaged, married and they had their first son 4 years ago at the age of 20. We’re the same age, 24, but my love life was completely dead. Okay, not completely dead but honestly I’ve never had the time to concentrate me on a relationship or anything near that. After I graduated, I got my dream job and I did my best to live up my dream. But since I’ve had to take care of my family at a really young age and started to focus on my career after school, boys en men never had a room in my life. And besides that, I’m not a woman who gives my heart away so easily. If I look back, I can say I’ve been in love once, in my entire life. I started a relationship with this guy, but after two months we broke up after I found out he was sleeping with one of my ‘best friends’. I’ve never felt anything near that love feeling ever since. So you have me, 24 year old Dutch girl with long brown hair, green-blue eyes, single, working hard but living her dream. And my best friend Sheila, also 24, married, having a son and her second child on the way, happier than ever. You could say we are like ying and yang if you compare our lives. But opposites attract, is what they say. Since I was 16 I came to Morocco whenever I could while the summer. Back to her roots in Al Hoceima.
