“I was actually just asking because whoever was giving you shit is probably on my team, but if it was a niner that means they’re on JV and I really don’t even talk to most of those little fucks on a normal basis. You point the kid out to me though I’ll knock him around for you or something.”

“Y’know, if you were anybody else I might take some offense to that. But I guess since it’s you, I’ll bite instead. What about me makes it so unsurprising to you that I’m impatient?”

“Thanks man, I think so. I’m trying to celebrate after the game Saturday, have a little kick back at my house or something. You coming?”

“Feels a little weird.” Ian admitted, watching Zoe adjust the over-sized jacket around herself, “Like I feel good about it because I know I deserve it, s’just...” I know I didn’t really earn it and I didn’t think it would eat at me this bad. He wanted to admit to her, but he couldn’t actually finish his confession. “I don’t know, it’s cool. Everyone’s been hyping me up about it. Still need to take you out to thank you for helping me.” He smiled, walking alongside her as they made their way to their lockers.

“Thanks, dude, appreciate that.” Ian smiled, recognizing Sav mostly as Alli’s older brother, but also because of his hand. While he didn’t think they were quite on Craig’s level with Downtown Sasquatch or anything, he liked their music, and as someone with a rather ‘secret’ musical talent himself, he wanted to let him know, “How’s shit with the band going? You guys playing any shows? New stuff?”

“Oh yeah, been a long time coming. Well thanks, Liberty, I appreciate that. Can expect to see you cheering me on at games now, right?” He joked.

“Right? I’m still a fan of just plain chocolate milk though, I’m not gonna lie. But you can’t just wait for hot chocolate to become chocolate milk because some people make that shit with water! Plus the whole impatience thing. I’m just not a very patient guy in general, to be real.”

“Yeah, it’s too bad about that guy. Lot of potential wasted, plus I heard Darcy dumped him- like I said to Clare, kinda taking L’s left and right. I agree though, I’m looking to celebrate for sure. You looking to join me?”
