Reducing isolation
Although this was a theme which cropped up in other studies, I think a little more detail is emerging for me. Folks are isolated in a number of ways:
Being the only person teaching that subject in your school. Being the only person in that role (HT, NQT, EdTech Co-ord). Being the only one in your school with that interest. Being isolated by time (the school day is so busy). Being geographically isolated -Â âtyranny of distanceâ or island community. From other classrooms/schools (having a âglimpseâ).

Perspectival view
Just attempting to set multiple viewpoints against multiple realities.
Iâm coming down towards the latter because if you accept that there might be multiple versions of, say PD, then you have something to work with. You know that be changing the assemblage from which something is produced, you change its nature.
A perspectival view however holds that different people have different views because each is looking from a different vantage point. If you can shift the vantage point someone has towards PD, then you shift what PD is to them, even though the PD itself never changed.
For example, what is PD for a headteacher (principal) and for a classroom teacher?

My final contextual suggestion is that actor-network theory can also be understood as an empirical version of post-structuralism.
