This story is about self discovery and love. My two main characters Vea and Mateo travel the country of the Guava Islands looking for Vea's dad who mysterious disappeared. Vea has been receiving post cards, photos, and drawings from an anonymous sender. She has a hunch it's her father. She runs into the local trouble maker, Mateo, to accompany her on her journey. Little does she know that he has an ulterior motive for joining her on the adventure. Along they way, they meet new people and direction in their desired destination. They end up discovering more than just their goals.
I've had this idea since my senior year of high-school. I am now done with university. School did get in the way of development. Since I finished college last December, I've been determined to write down my thoughts and script. This is all going to be hand drawn on paper. I am not as much as a fan of digitally making this. My tablet is no longer in commission, and I feel like I work faster traditional. This is a huge passion project of mine. I am hoping to turn it into a comic or a light novel. Ideally these pages would be the break ups between chapters like you see in Manga. I've been taking a break from writing and focusing on these illustrations. I hope to get pretty far with the writing before I start officially drawing the series. I decided to start this now since I have lot of time before I find my career. Wish me luck!
