After many trips and with my leggy stride

I’ve come to find what words can hide

The root of their meaning, the thought inside

Words are their simple shape

Sounds we use that change like wine from a grape

But their meanings stay true

No matter your inflection

So now I’ll ask you

This is my favorite question

I hope you see what I sought

What is the shape of a thought?

the shape of a thought is undetermined

you can search far and wide but i’m sure

you’ll be clueless

a circle repeating, a square boxed in,

but what about someone who’s both yang and yin?

the shape is what they make it,

from a line, to a scribble shaped like bacon

i think it has no form

but who am i to say?
