Tonightâs The Night
Cassandra could definitely tell the energy in the room had shifted when Sam introduced her. She could tell Kurt and Blaine didnât seem too upset if at all about it but she could tell Platypus was quite pissed and wasnât accepting this at all.
Rachel couldnât believe this. Sam of all people was dating the person that made her life a living hell at NYADA! She then had to remember though that Cassandra admitted why she did such a thing at the end of her freshman year last year. She took a breath and looked over at Sam and back at Cassandra, her expression softening. There was such an age difference between them though. It wasnât her business though. She cleared her throat. âCassandra and I have had our issues in the past but I like to think we handled that, so if you are both happy then I guess thatâs all that mattersâ she said, offering them both a smile. Blaine and Kurtâ face was full of shock as they looked over at Rachel, not believing what they were hearing coming from Rachel Berry of all people.
Cassandra looked at Rachel, a bit shocked by her reaction. âThank you, Rachelâ she said, a small smile tugging the corner of her lips. She was relieved everyone seemed to be accepting of it including Rachel.
A smile grew on Rachelâ face. That was the first time Cassandra ever called her by her name. âWhy donât you help me in the kitchen, we can pull some wine and pour some glasses and this dorks can decide what theyâre gonna orderâ.
âAnd dorks they are, especially this one of allâ Cassandra said playfully giving Samâ arm a squeeze. âAnd perfectâŚâ she added, pressing a kiss to Samâ cheek before following Rachel to the kitchen area to get some wine for everyone.
It didnât take Sam long to realize that the energy in the room had changed as he had introduced her as his girlfriend. It was a bit surprising that his friends werenât as upset as he had thought, or that surprised, well, Rachel was. He could tell that he had a hard time to actually understand what was going on, or maybe she didnât want too, at least not at first. He knew that it wouldnât he easy for them to accept this, but as he realized that Rachel was looking between him and Cassandra, he couldnât help to smile, and just maybe, just maybe, it wouldnât b too awkward.
At least now he wouldnât have to sneak around, and he could actually tell them were he was going, and not lie to them. âIâm happy,â Sam replied, âI totally get that this is like weird and not something youâd expect but like I know her and Iâm sure that if you got to know her too youâd get it too.â Sam was still not sure if what Rachel said was true, maybe sheâd tell him what she really thought when they were alone if this wasnât the truth.
Sam turned to Cassandra with a smile on his lips, âyeah, maybe Iâm a dork,â he replied, âbut Iâm your dork and you totally love me,â he replied with a smile, before he took her hand and pulled her back, and gave her a small peck. âIâm gonna order for you just so you know.â
