Fun fact for all my Death Note musical fan gals and guys and non-binary pals
Ashley Loren had no connection to the Death Note musical until Comic Con, which she inexplicably was chosen to moderate and to sing one of Rem's songs for the Death Note panel.
However, up until earlier this year she was in Moulin Rouge! on Broadway, an adaption of the movie, and she was playing the lead lady, Satine. The owner of the Moulin Rouge!, Harold Zidler, was, at that time, played by Eric Anderson - who's Ryuk in the original English demo.
(Ashley and Eric together in Moulin Rouge!)
This also isn't the only time we've had actors from different productions together in a different show.
In early 2022, Jeremy Jordan traveled to London to perform in a concert version of Bonnie and Clyde as Clyde, a role he originated on Broadway, and a show also written by Frank Wildhorn. His Bonnie was Frances Mayli McCann. At this point, his role as Light on the demo was years behind him, and Francis originating the role of Misa on the West End was more than a year in the future, but they still went down together.
And we have another! Maybe!
At a Jeremy Jordan concert in London, Grace (Rem) was lucky enough to be the one chosen to be serenaded by Jeremy!

My favorite Your Lie In April character is still this guy who goes to the competitions, sits so far back he canāt be seen from the stage, and then instead of clapping just gives a thumbs up at the end of Emiās performance
THUMBS UP GUY LIVES IN THE MANGA TOO

So, I normally have a figurine of Kaori on my headboard, but Kaori is off balance and currently looks like her melodica is for her cover of Smooth Criminal so sheās currently out of commission but basically itās supposed to look like this
But since sheās been removed I found someone else to stand in for her
"Spring will be here soon. Spring, the season I met you, is coming. A springĀ without you is coming.ā
Iām sure Antione de Saint-Expery wonāt mind, arenāt you?
Watching Death Note with someone who knows of it but has never seen it is wild she just told me āBeing on the internet for the last ten years, I know that L wins and Light losesā and then probably some other stuff but I was so focused on who the hell told her that and why were they lying to her cause this is the closest L comes to winning
We werenāt able to watch it for awhile because she lives about half an hour away and gas prices being what they are, but we got together today and have watched it through the intro change, which means it wonāt be long now, and she is STILL operating under the belief that L has plot armor.
Humans are so interesting.
Update: She had a conniption so loud my brother came up from the basement to laugh at her. I don't even care about finishing the series now, that alone was worth it.

It does matter. It matters exactly like this.
Last month I was in the ER, the most vulnerable emotionally that I've ever been while putting myself in the hands of a stranger. That the intake doctor had a lanyard heavy with Pride pins mattered. It's such a tiny gesture, but the amount of safety I felt because of it, during an agonizing moment in my life, was huge.

Learned recently the Artemis II mission is carrying a 1in. x 1in. piece of the canvas used in the Wright brotherās Flyer, oohhh man. I love technology but I also adore beyond everything the sentiment for the past we attach to advancements, because a lot of people think thereās no need to remember the time we could barely figure out plane flight while blasting off to go briefly orbit the moon.
Thereās sometimes a mindset of science purely for advancement, the next big thing, which feels both distinctly human and un-human (inhuman? Uhhhh) Itās our nature to go as far as we can, build until we hit something that can actually stop us. Learn and see it all. But weāre also the people that saw shapes in the stars; we have to give it all meaning. Artemis II is only one part of a much larger plan, but by itself itās still an incredible feat. Every step of the way has meaning to the world, and taking a single square inch of fabric to make us look back is a really nice reminder of all of it.
parts of the wright flyer were taken on the apollo 11 and ingenuity missions as well!

The New Horizons spacecraft carried some of the ashes of Clyde Tombaugh, who discovered Pluto, past it in 2015
somebody also smuggled a tiny bit of Mr Scott's ashes in an envelope jammed behind the insulation of the ISS somewhere but that was unofficial and naughty and we approve
Several dinosaur bones have been taken to spaceā *t-rex shakes fist* "You didn't get all of us!"
Amelia Earhart's wristwatch was taken up to the ISS on one of the anniversaries of her record-breaking transatlantic flight
The Mars Phoenix Lander carried digital copies of War of the Worlds š and The Martian Chronicles!
The Juno spacecraft around Jupiter has a Lego crew: Galileo and the gods Jupiter and Juno (Zeus and Hera in Latin)
The ESA installed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights translated into 500+ languages in their lab on the ISS
Artemis 1 carried a bolt from Apollo 11, a sticker "CBAGF" which are the notes for Sinatra's "Fly Me to the Moon," numbers of the country codes for all the countries that worked on the project, the number 18 in binary to suggest it was also Apollo 18, and the first plushie "zero gravity indicator," a snoopy, a nickname given to the helmet liners the Apollo astronauts wore that doubled as headset holders.
In fact pretty much every spacecraft has a whole bunch of ingenious easter eggs, subject to weight and space limitations. For the past 20 years NASA has invited the public to submit names to be etched on microchip on most space explorations, although you'd better save the email and "boarding pass" bc NASA doesn't waste resources maintaining a searchable database of the hundreds of millions of names it's "launched" by now
And of course, there were the famous Golden Records and plaques on Voyager and Pioneer, the first manufactured objects to leave the solar systemš
