Just a little background, we have been coworkers since 2015. We were still dating others back then so we remained friends. We were teased a lot by other colleagues, saying when they look at us, they see spark. Ofcourse I didn't believe it, neither did he, we were friends.

And so we thought.

He broke up with his long time girlfriend because he feels like they don't match anymore and he saw that she's cheating on him. He started seeing someone new, and I thought to myself, meh, I don't give a hoot because clearly he was just a friend to me. Then came my long time boyfriend's birthday, he and I broke up. He dumped me because of his ego. 🤷‍♀️

To cut the story short, K and I comforted each other thinking we're friends, no harm.

And again, so we thought.

I started seeing better opportunities for me at different work, weirdly, he started caring so much for me. It was awkward at first but poof. I think when you're really destined for each other, you will start to realize everything. At first, I told him he should give me time to heal first. He did. But we ended up still talking because who was I kidding, I liked having him around, it gave me peace and joy. While I was talking to him, I quietly healed myself from all the hurt I felt. It was hard at first but no one can ever break down a woman's pride so I did. I rebuilt myself whilst I was talking to him.

Then came December the 2nd, he finally admitted that he is true to his feelings. The rest is history.

Fast forward, we're now having a baby. ❤
