Something For You!
When someone walks out of your life, it can be a hard pill to swallow at first. Itโs not easy no matter how much your try to hide it. We often try to keep smiling, working, giving someone or something else our time and whatever else we want to use to fill that new found void. In actuality, that time should be used to feel your pain and allow the Holy Spirit to comfort and help you deal with it and heal from it. Progress is a slow process, but we must always keep our focus on the bigger picture. When it comes to getting back to and loving thine own self, you should strive for a long-term effect. Seeking validation from others instead of His (Godโs) Kingdom and righteousness will only lead you back to that pain that you need to heal from. Everything may seem so right as of now, but what about 6-12 months down the road when something happens and all of that pain you suppressed rushes to the surface and now youโre back to square one? Donโt waste your time THINKING youโre happy based on how someone or something makes you feel in the moment. Spend your time KNOWING youโre happy regardless of what you have or donโt have because whatever God has for you, is for YOU!
Signed,
A Southern Gentleman
