inevitably when you talk about stuff like this someone will come along like “so you think 3 year olds should be allowed to vote for milkshake video game, drive truck, and marry pedophiles?” because even just asking people to consider how an entire category of people may be harmed by being under the absolute unquestioned unlimited dominion of another is just too difficult

“do you know where you’ll be headed in 5 years?” no. but i do know about themes and motifs. and friendship. and putting garlic on everything

unfortunately i can never hate on a "power of friendship" narrative no matter how corny because the thing is it's literally real

someone keeps arguing with me on a post where I described the state of being a child as functionally disabling (in the context of human rights) and they keep trying to make ridiculous comparisons that no one would ever believe like “you would never say that women are disabled!” yeah obviously no one would ever argue that women are inherently physically and cognitively unfit for human rights or autonomy. no one would ever say that. it’s so fortunate that we live in a world where no one believes that.
