“Got threatened with jail today. Had a minor breakdown.”

“You say that like you’re the only one who understands him.  There’s a reason I’m his sister. I care about him, more than a lot of people. And unlike you I’m on his side. I don’t care about Bucky’s sob story that he unleashed on you. He still killed people. He ripped a childhood away from someone and that’s not right. Punishment is what he deserves. Everyday people say they killed someone for a reason, criminals, murderers, you think Bucky’s different cause he’s your friend? That’s bullshit”

“No, I’m not saying it like that at all. I know there are others who understand him too. Probably a lot of them understand him better than I do, but I still care about him too. What happened to Bucky isn’t just a sob story or a reason or an excuse or anything. It wasn’t his fault when he was forced to do it. He tried to get away from that and to be a better person. Why shouldn’t he get a second chance? I don’t think he’s different because he’s my friend. I think he’s different because he shouldn’t be blamed for something he had no control over.”

“Of course I care about Tony. If it helped, I’d rage all the time, but it doesn’t. I didn’t want to assume that we knew everything about the situation, so my defense of Tony was helping to find out the truth of what happened. I don’t know what he went through, no. I wasn’t there when he lost his parents, but I know what it’s like to not have them. I know how it feels to just want to know the truth about what happened to them. I’d personally defend anyone as long as it meant that people weren’t needlessly getting themselves or others hurt.”

Mittens groaned when she heard Shego’s voice. “I don’t need you here to remind me how awful a person I am, thank you very much. Got enough of that already.”

She rolled her eyes, “The last thing I want to do is save you. Murderers can’t be saved, I know that as well as anyone.” She bit out, knowing that this man regretted his actions in the simplest way possible. Bringing forth the guilt was the easiest way to damage his psyche, “You’re going to tell me. Or I will get it out of you in every means necessary. You killed more people. What you did was experienced, controlled, when people speak of the bad in this world they speak of people like you and me. And if you don’t tell me I will show you why I am also in that mix.”

Bucky shook his head, “I’m not saying yo are. You assumed I was trying to save myself and I’m not.” Everything felt so numb and disconnected. He knew he couldn’t and didn’t deserve to be saved. “The only way Tony finds out it was me if someone like you blabs there mouth off.” She let out a bitter laugh, “Wasn’t his fault?! Are you daft? That man shot his parents. Shot them. A completely intentional kill. There was no hesitation, no second thought, he shot in cold blood and those are his own actions. Don’t go putting bullshit like that into Tony’s head. “I doubt I would need to tell him since it wouldn’t be hard to connect the dots.” Skye crossed her arms. She figured it would be best not to correct Shego in how Bucky had killed Tony’s parents. She wanted to explain why Bucky had done what he had done, but it wasn’t her story to tell. “I didn’t have to put it in his head. He already thought that way on his own.” Skye shook her head. “I’m Tony’s girlfriend and Bucky’s friend. I’ll defend them both if I want to. You planning on attacking Bucky isn’t going to make you better than him either.”
