moots have been inspiring me to post my writings so here ya go!!
I smoke a cigarette and wait in the night . I look in the trees I look in the bushes. But there is nothing. I wait for the wolf. The wolf to bite me so I can realize it all and know what to do. I would bleed out on the cement floor in the dark. I couldn’t keep running could I. I couldn’t keep running from pain. I abandoned intimacy. I chose soft bites of a peach. These bite marks are deep and bloody. They tear me apart and I want the creature off of me. I can’t see in the bleakness. As for the present, I bite into fuzzy peaches that are juicy and soft. Too soft, I kept eating with every mushy bite. It’s gray and brown the closer I get to the core. “But this is safer than the wolf” I cry out as I spit up my unfruitful fruit.
Old bite marks on my arms.
It is safer. But I am not full, and I am not healing.
