okay good excuse to mention something that I noticed and have No Idea What It Could Mean and tbh it COULD mean nothing and just be an error/oversight but there is enough for me to have a reasonable doubt.
The lenses in Spamton’s glasses flip if you do the Neo fight and spare him. From pink-yellow to yellow-pink Like. SpamtonNeo has the flipped lenses and you go “oh just because that’s how asymmetrical sprites work in video games”.
but then his post-fight sprite still has the flipped lenses.
and if we look at his glitching sprites where he faces the other way, they’re pink-yellow. But to be fair, if you were the artist working on these it would be easier to keep track and keep it consistent vs…
Ch3 where the lenses are flipped yellow-pink but also he’s coming from the other side and that was likely done after a lengthy break from sprite work on him
and the only reason I’m mentioning it now is because this is yellow-pink and has Spamton and Tenna on the (suspiciously pipis-like) backpack
Again this could seriously genuinely mean nothing and just be oversights because asymmetrical characters are tricky but also… idk Spamton’s glasses are the most iconic thing about him. And more importantly, it’s my blog I can be insane if I want
