to sum up the whole backstory of her she grew up in a farm with her parents, she was a quiet girl and found interest in history and the body of animals and humans. she would often watch or participate in butchering their cows or chickens and would study the inside of them when her parents weren't looking (they didn't want her getting any parasites or getting the meat dirty), so despite being a nice kid she was very weird, often kept to herself and didn't have many friends. she went the whole nine yards with going to school till college and got a bachelor's degree in anthropology, her intelligence mostly comes from historical knowledge rather than mathematics. she has a strange gift for pinpointing the exact locations of historical events or historical buildings etc. this includes things like small, undiscovered places that have been majorly lost to time, making her job in anthropology much easier. she's still intelligent in other fields obviously, but this ability paired with her interest in the strange and weird SOMEHOW got her a job in the foundation!

essentially the way her and 106 meet (entirely based on my own headcanons) is that there is a town somewhere in France that has been having extremely anomalous occurrences going on, with the townsfolk having entire limbs rotting off, and if unattended, entire people shriveling up like rasins and dying. there's been hundreds of missing people and every search leads to nothing, as the only traces left behind are black puddles. the SCP foundation is contacted to study and capture whatever anomaly is causing all of this- multiple scientists are sent, and each time one finds something about the SCP, they go missing and are either found dead or too traumatized to tell the foundation anything (essentially, 106 saying " fuck you leave me alone "). Evans is eventually sent in (at this point in time she's more of a pseudo-intern but why not send her in! if not we'll just contain the entire town) and her and her team come across a long abandoned mental asylum in the middle of the woods. the team doesn't think there's anything in there but Evans is freaking out and excitedly pointing out that it's a building from WW1, so the anomaly might be related to the war and thus might have information via documentation. she then spends several days researching about incidents similar to what is happening in the town and finds classified reports from WW1 about a man who was the lone survivor of his unit after his unit had succumbed to a "strange illness" that is described eerily similar to the infection going around and "repeated violent attacks ", who was then sent to a french mental asylum after showing signs of clear insanity! so hooray, she then goes back and goes inside the asylum herself (despite multiple protests) to explore and attempt to find the scp. she does find him, obviously she is wary but because she's REALLY curious about him it kind of drowns out the fear enough for her to not run away. in the pocket dimension, she attempts to hold a conversation with him, it's a weird back and forth with 106 being very intruiged by the fact she genuinely doesn't seem to care about her safety or well being at all. the only reason he spares her is because he wants to observe her himself and wants to see how far he can fuck with her mind until she breaks, but over time it becomes more of an infatuation. he's captured and she's promoted to the lead scientist in all 106 operations (aka she's pulling all nighters and staying up for over 24 hours studying about him. fun!!) and while he does fuck with her, she knows he is and fucks with him right back. their relationship is like a really REALLY weird version of a grandma and grandpa who act like they hate eachother but actually love eachother a lot lol

oh also here's evans I love her sososos much... she means so much to me... I have so much information on her I could make like a whole document and a half of just random shit she does and how she acts I LOVE YOU EVANS!!!!!!!!
