I'm so fucking mad about this condition. It literally changes your life. I would be such a different person if it wasn't for my sweaty armpits.I know it may sounds arrogant but I could actually be hot. But no, I'm a sweaty mess. Anyways, I believe the real solution in my case it's psychological. So my question is, not thinking about HH when I go out will some day be possible? If you have tips about that it would help.
I do find that swearing is connected to how you think at times. If I think about sweating, I do sweat more. However, Hyperhidrosis is a physical condition that will cause sweating regardless of if you're thinking about it or not. But, hopefully one day there will be a cure. Hope this helps x

More love and support for people with urinary problems, with bowel problems, with flatulence problems, with incontinence.Ā

More love and support for people with reproductive problems, with hormone imbalances, with unusual hair growth, with hair loss, with excessive sweating/hyperhidrosis.Ā
More love and support for people withĀ ādeformitiesā and people whose bodies arenāt symmetrical.
Obviously this isnāt a complete list, so feel free to add on. But if any of this applies to you, you are not alone, you are not gross, and you are not ugly.Ā
hi!! i want to join the navy but im not sure that I can do that due to my hyperhidrosis. do you have any info on that?
I have no idea about navy requirements. I also donāt know about the temperatures that youāll have to face. However, hh shouldnāt at all stop you from doing what you want. Where do you have your hh? If you tell me, I can maybe give you a bit more help. :)
I have FH in a few areas and its so embarrassing bc my friend will just say "not to make you selfconscious but your REALLY sweaty" in really crowded places and I want to tell him but I cant in places with so many people, and I dont think he'll get it
Sweetheart, what your friend is doing isnāt fair. Although heās probably only trying to help you, it can really damage your self confidence. So, my best advice, what I did, was try to explain what hyperhydrosis is by showing him on the Internet. Explain that it is a real medical condition. If he still doesnāt understand, tell him how awkward and uncomfortable it makes you. Hope this helps you somehow x

Anyone deal with excessive armpit sweating and want to recommend something (cheap, preferably)
There are a number of things out there to help but, I do recommend going to the doctor. They could give you driclor (if you buy it, itās around Ā£6) to start off with. Hope this helps you. If you have any questions, feel free to message me
Iāve been suffering from hyperhidrosis in my hands, armpits and feet since my early teens. Iāve tried applying aluminum solutions and accupunture and stuff that didnāt rlly worked out. But last December I started an homeopathyĀ treatment and itās pretty amazing how my sweating decreased like hell, so I highly recommend it. Plus, it doesnāt cause side efects at all and, at least where I live, it isnāt expensive. Hopes this helps!Ā
Hey, can you give us a bit more information on your homeopathy treatment?
Sure! Idk where to start tho. This is an alternative medicine (maybe thatās why itās not very well-known). The doctor I go to is an unicist, which means he treats my HH giving importance to the syntom. I have to take 5 little pills three times a day, which are sold in many pharmacies (not all do), plus one more that āhelpsā with emotional stuff. When I first met him he asked me this rlly weird questions like if Iām jelaous, natty, undeciced, if Iām tidy and helpful, my relationship w/ family and friends, how would I define myself, if i prefer cold temperature rather than hot, to mention a few of them. I have to see him once every two or three months to tell him about any changes, etc. This treatment takes its time (tho I started it on December and by February I canāt describe how it improved), but still, itās impressingly effective. To share a case, I have a known who suffered from asthma and thanks to homeopathy she doesnāt deal with it anymore. So I strongly suggest it. There are situations where I still sweat, whether justifiable or not. However, Iām surprised when I find myself dry at events or common situations when I used to sweat excesively. I would wash my armpits and feet every single morning, and now I barely need to! Like I said before, it is not expensive (at least where I live, Argentina), and it doesnāt cause side effects in the short or long run. I hope this helps and gives an idea of this treatment and my current experience with it, and tell me if you need more info or I wasnāt clear enough :)
That sounds really interesting. It seems as though the person you see takes in to account everything about a person, that something Iāve never heard of too much before. What are the pills you take? Are the for sweating or to balance out your body emotionally/physically? And, thank you so much for replying to me. :)
Exactly! Not only the first meeting but the next ones he kept asking me about changes of mood or my personality and how do I feel emotionally, and stuff. The pills I take are called āglóbulosā in Spanish (idk how are named in English). I have to put them below my tongue bc they dissolve,u should not swallow them. The five i take 3 times per day ar for my sweating and the other one for the emotional issues. I can share the names and components of both cuz they have weird names and that way u can also see how they look and all. Thank you for letting me help somehow! I really appreciate it :]
Yes, please carry on sharing your experiences. It's wonderful to have so many forms of help out there that people can try. Thank you!
Trying to find potential diagnosis for my hyperhidrosis and/or heat intoleranceā¦
Does anyone with either or both of these want to give me some ideas?
Itās important to note that hormonal/endocrine, problems have been ruled out, Ā and my rheumatologists have found nothing.
Also notable is that my excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) is limited to my head/face and trunk/torso. My arms, legs and feet sweat normally.
I have a theory, but I kinda want to get some input before I mention it, so as to not interfere with anyoneās thought process. :)
I really want an answerā¦any thoughts?
(My answer) Iām not sure what this question is? Are you asking if you have hh? Because from what youāve said, it does sound probable
Iām sorry I wasnāt very clear. :/Ā
My question is does anyone know of a cause for HH that only happens on the head and trunk, and where hormonal/endocrine problems have been ruled out?
I have this problem too! Help?
Iām sorry you are suffering with this kind of hyperhidrosis also! Iāll post about anything I find out! It will be tagged #hyperhidrosis and #excessive sweating .
wants to mess with clay but hyperhydrosis.
My advice would be to use a fan in the room with you to cool yourself down. You could also use latex gloves and then use clay tools to sculpt and mould the clay, instead of your fingers. I hope you find a way that works for you x
i only like summer as a concept

Do you have any conditions that are based in Autonomic Dysfunction?
Adrenals are a common thing that could cause over activity of the sympathetic nervous system. However, take it back a step further to conditions that cause high neuroepiphrine and you may have a better idea.
I think you mean norepinephrine, which I think was tested by my neurologist, but I will double-check. I had some autonomic testing that was inconclusive, and my doctor may order those to be done again.
If you've had all medical problems ruled out, such as thyroid problems and such, Hyperhidrosis is not part of any other medical problem. It's a primary, chronic problem. It's only ever a secondary problem IF you have been diagnosed with a previous condition. I hope this helps you. Feel free to ask me any more questions you have.

This is what my hands look like after wearing latex gloves! So sweaty and wrinkled. That's what happens when you mix hot weather, being on your period (makes my temperature higher) and hyperhidrosis šš” currently sat in front of a large fan on full setting.
