Hello, I'm Hypatia!
And as you might guess from my username, nope, it's not my actual name, but rather an alter ego. This is the only social media that the people who know me closely aren't aware I use (I think) so I'd like to use it as a personal blog/diary where I'll sincere my thoughts and feelings to the world. That said, I'm open to knowing people and making friends! I'm just not good at it (◞ ‸ ◟ㆀ)
🌸 Why Hypatia?
I always liked rare names, and this is one of them. Has nothing to do with my real name + it's the name of a woman philosopher in ancient greece and I like her 🧚♀️
🌸 Things about me?
I'm in my 20's, I'm somewhere on the aroace spectrum (is complicated), and I don't care about gender as a concept, so I don't mind whatever pronouns you use on me, tho right know I'm pretty femme presenting in general. I draw and study animation (idk if I'll post any art here tho) and I'm learning Japanese (self thought at the moment), I'm autistic, gifted, alleged ADHD and I suspect I might have hidden depression. I'm a spiritual person, specifically an omnitheist helpol pagan witch, and don't tolerate any disrespect to ANY spiritual beliefs🌙
🌸 Things I like?
I like anime and video games, specially fantasy, action, romance, magical girl animes, RPG, visual novels and rhythm games. I like to dance but never practiced seriously or with anyone, tho I'd love to have a group of friends to do anime and idol dances. I'm a fan of creepy, lovecraftian and paronarmal stuff, as well of cute and girly things, I also love fantasy and mythology; I'm fund of greek and egyptian mythology, D&D and fairies. I love all animals, from cats to marine creatures and all types of bugs, and I have a particular connection and love for moths. Related to the last point, I loooove aquariums, and museums in general, but aquariums are precious to me. Right now I'm experimenting with style and makeup, taking more care of myself and embracing my femininity, tho I feel at a loss in finding my own style and identity sometimes, but I'm fine experimenting. 🌸 How do you describe yourself?
Ah, the question of the ages. Due to so many years of masking, it's hard to define who I am truly, really depends. I tend to be shy and socially anxious with strangers, not really knowing how to act and what to say, I usually shut down myself. With close friends I let lose more easily, but depends on the day I might be more direct and blunt or really playful and whimsy. I'm really organized and calculated person with my time and spaces, but really chaotic on my actions and conversations (lots of thought at the same time). I've always tried to be an optimist and hopeful easygoing person, but I always end up being a shut in that doesn't do much with others and feels really negative about everything. I want to change and be a more outgoing and fun person to be around, understand my feelings and lose the shame to express them and be more whimsical, find the motivation to live my life actively and not just on promises to my future self.
