How Serafina and Ruvyzvat met! (Serafina is my oc)
I hope you like it!!
.
.
.
The church was silent.
Not peaceful.
Just... empty.
Moonlight streamed through the stained-glass windows, painting colorful patches across the cracked floor. Dust drifted lazily through the air, disturbed only by heavy footsteps.
A towering man with white eyes stepped inside.
Ruvyzvat.
His crimson scarf brushed against the floor as he looked around. He wasn't there to pray.
He simply wanted somewhere quiet.
Away from everyone.
Away from the whispers that called him a monster.
He sat alone in the last pew.
"..."
For nearly an hour, the church remained silent.
Then...
Creaaak...
The front doors opened.
A young woman quietly entered.
Long, silky black hair flowed behind her, streaked with silver that shimmered under the moonlight. Her pure white doe-like eyes reflected the stained glass, making them seem almost ethereal.
She carried a basket filled with fresh flowers.
Without noticing Ruv, she hummed softly while replacing the wilted flowers decorating the altar.
Ruv watched.
"..."
She didn't seem frightened.
She simply smiled to herself as she worked.
After a few minutes, she noticed him.
"...Oh."
Instead of screaming...
Instead of running...
She smiled gently.
"Good evening."
Ruv blinked.
"..."
Most people either fled or stared in fear because of his size and intimidating appearance.
She did neither.
"...You're not leaving?" he asked, his deep voice echoing through the church.
Serafina tilted her head.
"Should I?"
"..."
"You look like you wanted some peace."
Ruv frowned.
"...Everyone usually leaves."
"Well..."
She laughed softly.
"I already came all this way carrying flowers."
"I'm not letting that stop me."
For the first time in a very long while...
Someone had spoken to him as though he were simply another person.
Over the next few weeks...
Ruv kept returning.
He never admitted why.
Sometimes he sat in silence.
Sometimes he watched Serafina water the flowers.
Sometimes she simply sat beside him without saying a word.
Neither of them minded the silence.
One rainy evening...
The storm became violent.
Thunder shook the church.
As Serafina prepared to leave, she discovered her umbrella had been blown away.
"...Oh dear."
Without speaking...
Ruv removed his enormous coat.
He held it over both of them as they walked through the rain.
It barely fit around Serafina because of his incredible height.
She giggled.
"...What?"
"Nothing."
"You're getting soaked."
"I don't mind."
"But I do."
Those words lingered in Ruv's mind for days.
"But I do."
Someone...
Actually cared whether he was cold.
Months passed.
Their friendship grew naturally.
Serafina often brought homemade bread.
Ruv pretended he wasn't hungry.
She pretended not to notice him finishing every last bite.
Sometimes she read books aloud while he listened.
Sometimes they walked through quiet forests together.
Neither of them needed constant conversation.
Their company alone was enough.
One afternoon, while crossing an old bridge...
A loose plank snapped beneath Serafina's foot.
She slipped.
Before she could fall—
A large hand caught hers instantly.
Ruv pulled her safely back.
"...Be careful."
His voice trembled ever so slightly.
Serafina smiled.
"I knew you'd catch me."
"..."
"...How?"
"I trust you."
Ruv froze.
Trust.
Another word he had almost forgotten.
As the seasons changed...
People around town began noticing something unusual.
The terrifying giant who rarely smiled...
Now quietly waited outside the church with flowers.
Not because he liked flowers.
Because Serafina did.
He even began fixing broken benches and repairing fences around the church late at night so no one would know it was him.
When Serafina eventually discovered the repairs...
She smiled knowingly.
"You did this."
"...No."
"Ruv."
"...Maybe."
She laughed.
"You know..."
"You're kinder than you think."
"..."
"...Don't say things like that."
"Why not?"
"...Because I'll start believing you."
She reached over...
And gently held his hand.
"Then believe me."
For once...
Ruv didn't pull away.
From that day onward...
The lonely giant was never truly alone again.
And Serafina found someone whose quiet heart was as gentle as her own.
