  He accepted the embrace with open arms, ignoring the way his tunic stuck to his skin from a hard day’s work as he returned the favor and brought his little lover closer with a nigh-crushing embrace. “I ain’t good with words, but the feelin’ is absolutely mutual, Cam. Hope it’s a long while before you have to go on a trip like that again.” Though he certainly wouldn’t stop her if she did. Business was business after all.

  “Yeah, I remember us talking ‘bout that a while back.” He eased up on the embrace, although he kept both his hands resting firmly upon her shoulders despite putting a bit of space between them. Her bringing up that old topic again could only mean good things. “Why, you finally saved up enough to get a place?”

Camilla only nodded as she looked up at him with bright eyes and a happy glint in them. “Oui.” She says after a moment. “All the hard work I had put into helping everyone has paid off, I have enough to get a small house in town...” The underlying implication was clear, it meant now he didn’t have to wonder where his wayward lover was when she wasn’t around him, and they’d have a place to simply enjoy each others company without suspecting anyone was listening in on them.

“I will be able to move in within the next few days, although I have very little to move in with me.” A chuckle, considering she hadn’t had a permanent place to stay in years. “My costumes, and the few possessions I own. It should be a quick move. I will worry about other things when I am settled.” A bed was obvious, among other things.

  That voice… there was no mistaking who it was. The foreign words helped give it away as well, but he could’ve identified who it belonged to without them. Izren swung the mighty scythe through the field of stalks once more, rending them down to little more than verdant sticks rising from the hard earth, and the blade was leaned against the fence as he turned to face the homecoming dancer.

  And the farmhand had never smiled wider than he did when he saw her.

  “Welcome home, lovey. You’re right ‘bout me bein’ busy. Spent last couple days harvestin’ all our corn, and now I’m cuttin’ away the plants. Ma wants to use ‘em for animal feed and mulch. But that’s enough about me. How’d the visit with the troupe go?”

“It was like a homecoming.” Camilla says, moving to sit on the fence as she watched him, feeling her heart grow warm and fuzzy at seeing his face. Archons it had been too long, and she missed him terribly. “I am sorry you could not come, I would have felt terrible if you were away from home when they needed you the most.” But she was back now, and they could make up for lost time.

Opening her arms, she gave him a silent offer for a hug, uncaring if he was sweaty from working in the sun all day, she just wanted to be close. “I missed you. Very much... I am hoping I can stay for a long time this time.” She doesn’t want to leave for that long again, not when she just finally decided to settle.

Camilla is still quiet, so I’mma gonna call hiatus on her for now.

"I...Maybe you're right..." She doesn't look too bothered though. "But if I stay in their minds for even a little while....it'll be worth it."
