A different path doesn't mean you're lost.

with muse ideas and the wANT to write

“you know i do get days off weekly.” he rolls his eyes playfully with another chuckle. “you wish i die under these stacks of paperwork. if you thought i died, i thought you died after being gone for so long or did heavy boots get tired of his job?” he teased back with a smirk of his own. “how long have you been back?”

— “Nahhh,” he hummed with a chuckle as he brushed some imaginary dust off of his boot. “Don’t worry, I’ll write a great eulogy for you.” One last quick chuckle before he finally responded to their question. “Just a few days now, but the first couple were spent debriefing the big suits.” A scoff parted his lips for a moment as the upper curled. “None of them would last a minute in the field, but they have the balls to criticize everything I do.. tch.” He paused to let his features unfurrow before he continued with a huffed out laugh, “Wanna’ trade?”

She chuckled when other hurried ahead of her, soon following them and watching as they holler back, she shakes her head and smirks then. “You’re paying this time! Because you were late.” She added then and chuckled afterwards, starting to jog towards the nearby cafe.

— He chuckled with a shake of his head at her words as she finally caught up. “What if I forgot my wallet??” He teased just to see her expression then quickly came clean. “I’m kidding, I’m kidding! Of course I’m getting it! Go easy on me, though, I was only a couple minutes late!” A light laugh parted his lips as they reached the cafe. 

— With a small, exhausted hum he stepped out onto the balcony of his villa. Clad in only a pair of sweatpants and an open robe, he took in a breath of the mountain air before downing a few sips of his meal from the scotch glass in his hand. His lips now stained red as he exhaled while his fangs extended out from their hidden state.  Rustling in the valley beneath him caused his brow to furrow as his now crimson eyes shot open, scanning for the source of the sound, but only catching a glimpse of a shadowy figure dipping back out of sight. A soft growl rumbling in the back of his throat as he flitted off the edge of the balcony, quickly cutting them off before they could get away. His fierce gaze glistening in the moonlight as he addressed them, “You shouldn’t be here.”
