Quiet Protector. - { Open. }
'I'll admit—
it never ceases to surprise me,
how they continue to laugh like idiotic kids,
especially after all this shit has happened.'
In recent years, Levi has found it more tolerable—for lack of a better word—to simply watch his comrades and underlings socialize rather than to actively take part in it. Worn, gray hues maintain their steady, almost disconnected stare, absorbing the events unfolding around him with masked relief as his arms remain crossed over his chest. He, unfortunately, will never be able to crack a smile for a significant reason, let alone for something as trivial as meaningless conversation, however, his thoughts deceive his external, uncaring visage.
The squad leader begins to experience a peculiar responsibility he is accustomed to by now - not the responsibility over his comrades' lives as he feels in battle, but the urge to protect the little moments of fleeting bliss they exude during times of inactivity. He knows other authority figures who would scold periods of ignorant happiness among soldiers, but Levi remembers what it is like to hope, what it means to dream...
....thus, he has quietly adopted the role of serving as a personal protector of these more content moments.
Meaning, if he discovers anyone attempting to sever this hope, an emotion he cannot believe still exists, he will not hesitate to physically reprimand them.
B r u t a l l y reprimand them.
