SHE STANDS TO HER FEET. the smell of blood lingers heavily in the air. Indeed, her father would always tell her to make sure she clean up after herself. And yes, she was getting there. “Yes, dad.” She murmured, head craning to the side. And, much like him, she raised a hand, snapping her fingers quickly. The bodies then vanish, but what does not vanish is the intense rush she feels. She wonders to herself if this is what her mother had felt. “How’d you know I was here?” Silly question, but she asked nonetheless.
𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃, of death, permeates the air. Every fabric, every atom, that surrounds the two of them is seeped in it. What doesn’t vanish with the bodies still leaves him with that lingering sense. Even if they are just demons, and he cares little for them, too much attention draws focus where it need not be.
And he’s doing everything he can to keep things quiet.
Lucifer raises his eyebrow at her. ❝What do you think?❞ The screams, the death, the blood–It’s like a beacon drawing supernatural entities to the scene. ❝I think everyone in the city has at least an idea of what went on here… It’s all over the supernatural frequencies.❞
IT IS THEN THAT SHE REALIZES HER MISTAKE. Yes, she was tactless, reckless, impulsive. Of course, the others in the community would be all too aware of what she had done. They would come, they would want to find and hunt down the girl. Just as they had from day one. But, in the midst of the heinous act, all she could think about was letting out her rage, and feeding her thirst in exchange. Remorse paints itself across her face. “I--I’m sorry,” Her voice gets soft, lips pursing inward. “I---I knew better, it won’t happen again.” She speaks honestly, for the next time she may not get so lucky. And with the faction of angels set on eradicating her and her family, she could not afford such mistakes.
