He nodded along as he sat back down, settling himself in his seat. “Nice is a good way to put it. More things should be nice.” 

“You slept here? In my bed?” He sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose. “I’m sure. Can you get me some Advil please?”

He shrugged. 

“I used to love it, I also used to love a girl as if she were the sun, but that was a long time ago.” 

He smiled as he handed the book the them, the corners of his eyes crinkling. 

“Of course. “

Hux groaned as he rolled over in his bed, the piercing sound of glass breaking as a whiskey bottle fell to the floor causing him to wince. He really couldn’t remember much of the night before but the pounding in his head told him that he had gotten more than a little carried away. 

He pushed himself up to sit as he wiped his eyes and yawned, his vision still blurry as he walked the familiar pathway to his kitchen when he saw the outline of another person cheerily dancing as they moved to and fro. 

“What are you doing here?” 

He reached out to grab the book from her grasp, lightly dusting off the front cover as he looked it over. 

“The plot was always lacking a certain je n'ais se quoi. Perhaps this will be the true mark of its completion.” 

“Besides, supporting sex trafficking is hardly the worst thing I could do with my wealth.” 

“Look, support is a harsh word. I like to think my money in particular goes to the abundance of art that lines the walls more than the production of drugs to kidnap the pets.” 

Hux scoffed quietly as he shook his head. Seamus had become everything Hux feared and he knew that their relationship was broken, at times like this it felt as though it was broken beyond repair, but that’s the bed Hux had made himself and now he had to lay in it. 

“I’m visiting Ma next week. Your ticket is in your room, if you choose to use it or not is up to you, brother.”
