hollowedstreetsâ:
open to: friends/former patients/etc, he bumped into at the bar (muses/fcs 28yo+ only pls!) bit of backstory:over here!
âEh, itâs not the first time this has happened - the getting stood-up, I mean.â Victor shrugged and leaned back against his seat, casting his gaze up to the ceiling. âI do my best to not come off too gruff when I try out those stupid apps, you know? Maybe I come off too formal, when weâre chatting online, or maybe the whole therapist thing scares âem off, like theyâre afraid Iâll start psychoanalyzing them the second they walk through the door.â He sighed as he lifted a hand and ran it through his hair, just to scratch at the back of his head, and finally returned his attention back to the person beside him with an apologetic smile. âSorry man, didnât mean to start rambling like that. Iâm sure the last thing you wanted when you came here was to hear my dating woes, so can I get you something to apologize for talking your ear off for once?â
He wasnât sure at first, how could he when he went through life close to being face blind, not diagnosed at least. But upon a second or two his voice gave him away, which made it easier for him rather than having a total stranger speaking his mind out. It was almost too funny how the roles were revered with Dr. Wolfe apparently not putting two and two together yet. âItâs okay, I got stood up too- a friend of mine called in sick at the very last second, like five minutes ago.â He shook his head, it wouldnât be a first and sadly heâd fall every single time. âI guess you donât see the ironyâ Sal chuckled, in his head it was hilarious actually. âWeâve met beforeâ He frowned, hopefully it didnât sound too stalkery which wasnât the point. âBut last time we did this- I was doing all the talking and you were taking notes.â He gave it away and took a sip from his drink, a cuba libre. âBut since I donât want you to repress your guilt over- what was it? Talking my ear off? Iâll take that drink. Itâs a cuba libre, Iâm not going crazy on a worknight.â
