I recently read this book and it was a very great book! It applies to our society today. An African American girl has had a very hard life and experienced two deaths of her best friends. One was when she was 10 and the other one when she was 16. She is fighting for justice for Khalid’s death. A white cop shot him for no reason and she was a witness. There is way more to this book and it might touch most of you guys. It might even make you angry. Will she end up getting justice and the cop going to jail or will they let the cop free as if nothing? You’ll have to find out.
