“Mmm, I don’t feel well,” he said with a frown.

His mate paused in settling down beside him in their sleeping cave.  "Oh?  Is that why you’ve been so quiet tonight?“

"Yeah.  At first I thought I just overate at supper, but it’s been getting worse.”

“Hmm.  Well, lie down and rest.  You might feel better in the morning.”

He curled up into a ball, holding his belly.  She could hear his stomach roiling, and he moaned quietly.

Character:  Onyxia

After a few hours of hunting for more substantial prey proved unsuccessful, Onyxia swooped down on a centaur village in Thousand Needles.  Her fire breath made quick work of the primitive huts, and before long she had gathered up a singed pile of centaur corpses to carry home to her brood.

She had worked up quite an appetite by that point, so she devoured several of them before leaving.  One of the centaur she ate was apparently a shaman or medicine man of some kind, because the pockets of his vest were filled with a number of strange herbs and compounds that left an unpleasant aftertaste in her mouth.  Unfortunately this was an arid region without any standing water she could have used to rinse away the taste, so she merely spat and tried to ignore it.

Character:  Nefarian (dragon)

Setting:  Blackwing Lair

Maloriak had insisted that he hadn’t put any strange chemicals in the meat leftover from his latest experiments, so Nefarian had eaten a large pile of it.  It did not set well, however.  

He laid on his side on his favorite balcony, feeling sicker with each passing minute.  His stomach churned audibly, and he grimaced at the mounting nausea.  Dragons had sturdy digestive systems made for eating all manner of less-than-fresh meat, but whatever was in the leftovers from Maloriak’s lab had made Nefarian sicker than he could remember being in decades.

Nefarian was making one of his rare visits to Kalimdor to see Onyxia and her brood.  She had happily given her brother the grand tour of her territory, then led him into the Barrens for a little hunting.  They easily killed a large kodo bull and stuffed themselves, then headed back toward the marsh. 

Along the way, however, they chanced upon a Horde war party.  Never one to look a gift orc in the mouth, they had dropped out of the sky and made quick work of them.

Now the two dragons soared high over the savanna, headed eastward.

“I don’t think those orcs agreed with me,” Onyxia said with a frown.

“Never been a big fan of orc, myself,” Nefarian said with a shrug.

They flew in silence for a few minutes.  "Ooh, damn, I’m really not feeling well,“ Onyxia said, covering her mouth with one paw.

"Do you want to stop and rest?”

“Mmm…I don’t know.  Maybe.  I’d rather just get home.”

“Up to you.”

She said nothing but flew onward, so he followed. 

Characters:  Sintharia and Neltharion (dragons)

Setting:  The Earth Warder’s Lair, ancient times, pre-corruption

Warning:  Massive amounts of dragon puke, plus bonus sympathetic vomiting

The sun had barely set when Sintharia announced she was going to retire for the night.

“Oh?” Neltharion turned to look at her. “Are you all right?”

“I’m kind of sick to my stomach,” she said with a frown.  "I don’t think that threshadon agreed with me.“  They had found the marine beast in the shallows near their lair, recently deceased of what seemed to be natural causes, and devoured it between the two of them.

Neltharion frowned in concern as he watched his mate lumber off toward the cavern where they usually slept.

When he joined her an hour later, Sintharia was sleeping fitfully, moaning softly and holding her stomach.  He sympathized but was helpless to make her feel better, so he laid down and was soon sleeping.

Character:  Kalecgos (blue dragon)

Setting:  Northrend, pre-Cataclysm

(Since a couple people expressed interest a sick dragon story, I’ll post some once in a while.  Here’s a fairly short and straightforward one to start with.)

Kalecgos started feeling sick as he prepared to depart from Wyrmrest, and considered resting there for a bit until he felt better.  No, if he was coming down with something, he preferred to be home at the Nexus.  

So it was that he was flying over Star’s Rest when what had been a vaguely unsettled feeling in his stomach sharpened into a spike of nausea that made him gulp.
