Queen of Hearts

It all made sense. Lucy relaxes on her grip with her crossbows as she took a deep breath in, chuckling at Copper. “Makes sense, you’re the youngest of the Slade boys” she said now with a small smile. Lucy only associates herself with her hunters. Copper was family so that meant she had to tolerate him.. for now. “ I won’t tell them because then I won’t hear the end of it from them..” she mused with a small smile forming on her lips. “I’m Lucy Harts. Most people call me other things but Lucy is fine” she said with a smile. “ Hopefully you found something worth the trip you took getting yourself this far lost” she said now with a small little grin. She was curious to see what the young man might have found. Treasure hunts we’re always her favorite. Maybe there was something that lead her to what she needed.

Wendy’s eyebrows rose as she read the flyer.  “How very intriguing,” she murmured.  Wouldn’t this be a lovely chance to get more inspiration for her stories?  With the curse settled so strongly on the kingdom, Wendy couldn’t resist doing her best to make the children happy.  Sometimes she wondered if things would ever go back to normal, but she put her best face on for her brothers and the children.  One way or another, she had to try and give them as normal a world as possible.  With so many parents involved in gathering or researching or hunting … it meant many of the kids needed someone to pay attention to them.

Tapping the flyer against her lips, she considered her reaction.  They didn’t recommend going outside of the walls, not for average citizens, but maybe just this once?

“If nothing else, I can see which direction the pumpkins lead,” she decided, giving a firm nod of her head.  “Then I can decide whether or not to follow.”  Hurrying inside her family home, she gathered a few things together in a bag - just in case - and headed towards the walls. Her heart seemed to lighten as she made her way.  Another adventure - at long last!  As the walls came into sight, however, she slowed.  “Now how do I get out there without attracting attention?”

The rumors of the pumpkins had security tighter than usual. Given her status she was able to walk in and out of the town whenever she pleased and knew that no matter what happened, she could defend herself and anyone else she deemed worthy f another chance of life.

Lucy had her cross bow over her, with her usual satchel of prepared necessities, extra arrows just in case the occasion called for extra sparkle. Lucy noticed as Wendy stood by the door, “ Are you trying to escape?” she questioned a bit, sounding rather alarming and stern, only to break into a chuckle “ Oh don’t fret lovely It’s only a tease” Lucy always had a crude sense of humor, it wouldn’t be the first offense and not the last probably. This was her being nice, and starting a playful conversation.

“ I’m guessing you got the note too?” she asked as she scanned the woman before her. She was cute, rather ordinary but that’s before anyone uncovers the extraordinary. Just like her white rabbit she steadied herself. “ I’m gonna go regardless, It would be smart if you don’t go alone. No weapon o you from what I can tell. You’re an easy kill” she said before fastening her satchel as the arrows probed at the top. She gracefully removed her cloak as she waved up at the towers where the watch hunters guarded the post. As they opened the doors she looked back at Wendy with a smug smirk “ What d’ya say? ready for adventure?” she asked.

Trigger Warnings: Attempted Murder

Before The Curse:

Even before the curse hit the Disney Kingdom, Lucy, otherwise known as Queen of Hearts,  had always been known as one of the most ruthless, cunning, and temperamental girls around. Her beauty definitely matched her fiery personality and not to mention it was also part of the reason she was called the “Queen of Hearts”. For some, she had always believed the world was her personal kingdom and everyone in it were there for her to boss around however she pleased. And she was not afraid to show/do it. Other than her parents, she had two particular individuals that she enjoyed to torment the most. Her brother, otherwise known as King of Hearts, was someone she knew could easily take her spotlight away if he really tried. The very thought of it drives her red with jealous and rage. The second person, her precious White Rabbit. If the girl was honest with herself she would tell you that she really cares for Rabbit more than she could let her let on. Unfortunately she considered that feeling to be a weakness and so she was often more mean towards the other than she had wanted to be.

After The Curse:

When the curse hit the Disney Kingdom, it took an already anger filled Lucy and turned her into a real tyrant. She had been “lucky” enough to be left as a human, as well as her brother, but the one person who had ever made the ice around her heart melt had been cursed to roam the land as one of the undead. She knew she had reacted poorly, basically almost killing the other when she found out, but she couldn’t help herself. She had always been a “act first and ask questions later” type of girl, though it didn’t mean inwardly she was torn about it. When Lucy had made the decision to join the Disney’s Hunter force she did it for two reason. The first one was to kill that disgusting “White Queen” her brother has been sneakily seeing because if she couldn’t be happy then neither could he. The second was to keep her little White Rabbit as safe as she possibly could. When she isn’t out hunting it’s not out of the ordinary to see her roaming around the city streets with her fellow hunters.
