For years I've had my eye out for the teacher who would lead me to the mysteries. Always searching, but always judging and passing up opportunities as quickly as they arise. I don't really have spiritual friends and guides. It's one of the things that I'm reminded of when the loneliness starts to creep in. No congregation, no sangha, no yoga class...and yet these things are relatively easy to locate. Harder still to find the sherpa to lead me through the sometimes alien landscape of gayness, seeing as how I adopted such a conforming approach to being ok. I see this card as a reminder that if I pass up the opportunity for new experiences, I'm never going to find a teacher to lead me to new heights. Sometimes the tarot chooses a theme and sticks with it. I'm apparently being called to look at the father figures in my life...and in myself. Yesterday was about my creative world.
