1984

New European Ensemble’s “1984” premiered digitally on April 23, 2021. Taking the moves from Mikhel Kerem’s thrilling score,brilliantly played by the Ensemble under the baton of the composer himself, the movie retraces the events narrated in George Orwell’s masterpiece linking it to the modern day technology driven world and the new possibilities of control and oppression. NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden introduces the film as well as acts in it together with Boris van der Ham (in the Dutch version which premiered in March and is available on NPO’s website) and Joseph Thompson (in the english version presented here) as well as members of the New European Ensemble. Sophie Hunter acted as director (on the english version of the movie) together with Gijs Besseling and Emlyn Stam.

The film  will be available to watch on demand for the 30 days following the premiere on ONJAM TV.

Like I don't love The Independent but you would think based on their reputation that whoever was writing this up would just double check. I genuinely don't think they did. I think they threw in the info at the last minute before releasing the article and just said "fuck it we'll copy this basic info from some other official source that's already out there." There's never EVER been an official confirmation of baby #3 has there? Just some pics of her looking big way back in late 2018/early '19. Right? And him on some interview AcCiDeNtALlY oN pUrPoSe saying he was about to have another kid or had already had one...I can't remember it was so long ago now. But also...yeah...1 year old? That baby in the bjorn (whether it's a boy or girl I couldn't say, I can't really tell, but I'll take your word for it) is waaaay older than 1 year! What I wanna know, and understand, is... why the constant flip flopping??? And who's doing the correcting? Who's coming in saying "oh actually you've got that wrong, it's 3 kids, etc... you need to correct it" ?? It's obviously not him right? If we're going with the premise that HE'S the one trying to hush-hush the existence of #3. Then it's someone else coming in after the fact making all these publications correct the articles.
