Now, I’m not saying Andruil would wear armor that looks like it’s made up of the various trophies/bones from kills to intimidate her foes, but she would. All topped off with a dramatic shoulder cape.
I’m still really salty that a lot of artists depict Andruil in Terrible™ armor and have never once attempted to draw her in full light armor, let alone take a try at what her Void armor would look like. Because y’know... she’s totally going to have lots of skin showing on Super Deadly hunts.
( Also where’s the wicked helmet designs, seeing as her true face was forgotten?? )
and so the Great Huntress herself walks into Clever June’s workshop. well, not so much of a workshop, but more so of a temple that was filled with various contraptions, weapons, jars filled unknown substances – truly anything one could think of and it would be there sitting prettily upon a shelf. yet her echoed footsteps still made known her presence that had June pivoting his form just so he could face the woman.
“ —— let me guess, you desire a new weapon?” he was quick to assume, hands moving to pocket a smaller device without much flare. “or are you here to tell me the last one i gave you did not work?” / @huntedglory . sc
Her eyes WANDERED as they often did, keen of her surroundings. Andruil’s fingertips ghosted over the edge of a shelf, not disturbing any of the contents. Her gaze flickered from jar to jar, material to material, before she finally let it settle upon June. There was a small smile on her face, a common sight, but it was not one of amusement. It was the look she often wore before requesting another favor.
“No weapon. Not yet.” The huntress reached into a pocket on the inside of her thick, furred coat, and pulled out a long shard wrapped in loose cloth. There was a subtle glow. “But I may have discovered something new for you to work with.”
I’ve read a few theories that the material Andruil uses from the Void is red lyrium/the blight, and I’m probably going to use this theory on my blog just so I have something of substance to write about when it comes up.
When Mythal took Andruil’s knowledge of where the Forgotten Ones dwell, a little more was taken than just that. As powerful as they are, gods they were believed to be, such exact knowledge cannot be ripped out of the mind as if it were a page in a book. Ever since that encounter, Andruil’s capabilities both mentally and physically wavered. It made her grow bitter and frustrated, and enhanced her greed tenfold. She resented her mother, and the heretical ideas that were born in the depths of her madness lingered.

my power is no illusion. i can fucking demolish you.
Vir Adahlen
Andruil became very much about “if I kill it, I eat it”. Nothing makes a triumph better than harvesting the different parts of what was vanquished and eating what’s edible. It also eliminates something being “wasted”, which can be interpreted as part of the third section of the Vir Tanadhal, the Way of the Wood.
Receive the gifts of the hunt with mindfulness. Respect the sacrifice of my children Know that your passing shall nourish them in turn.
That’s the cycle of life. While Andruil loved the thrill of hunting challenges, she didn’t waste what she killed. Meat was harvested and trophies were gathered. Her hunts nourished her as all hunts should, and hunters are expected to provide nourishment back to the ecosystem when they die. If nothing can be harvested from a hunt, then it should still be conducted with something to gain. For example, a poisonous beast is hunted and slain because it posed a threat to the people.
… murder is always an option Always
