I didn’t get 200 text messages, but had a similar experience with a date recently. It was 3 hours long, I kept trying to leave and was not able to without him getting angry, I decided my safety was more important. He asked me if I’d have sex with him, then got annoyed when I said no. Started talking about how women always think men are going to rape and murder them and I tried to use logic and numbers to prove that women do get raped, he said “Oh you’re one of those people…” It was the strangest date I have ever been on. I also agreed to see him again because I was terrified of saying no. The waiter heard the part where he was asking me to have sex with him and got annoyed, and the waiter was kind enough to consistently come over to bother us and the dude kept getting more and more annoyed, and I must have had a look on my face that said “please keep doing this” because it didn’t stop the waiter. Thank goodness for that waiter. He made me feel like I had some backup in an otherwise terrible situation. The dude asked me to follow him around the corner and I told him no because I was waiting for my uber, and then he tried to kiss me without getting any sort of cues from me at all, and I ducked and ran for my uber. He repeatedly texted me and I didn’t respond. It was awful.
