love this art style tbh, it is pretty inventive. It took me a while to spot that he does have his one eye drawn in hatching. It is very subtle and you can only see in on the official scans that have a better resolution and more contrast. I did my best to outline what I see, wish there were more pixels though.

I think this panel could be a summary of this arc and to some degree predict what is going to happen. Unfortunately, I can’t understand all of it, so I wanted to ask for your suggestions/speculations. First, some stuff that I do get. The staircase. Deku is pretty close to where All Might is standing, but not there just yet. He has to walk up one more passage.

The handrail. All Might stands high, but his power is broken, he is in the shadow now. Quite literally too. The broken window passage. All Might has left an enormous gap that can’t be filled and everything is crumbling. Two pictures under All Might. One is an old tree, I believe it symbolized ‘foundation’. And The other one is a city view(? this one I’m not sure about), I guess it symbolized society. The pictures are still there, but the wall behind them is crumbling. I think it means the foundation of this society is crumbling because of All Might retirement. The black whip. Represents Deku’s power. If the positioning here matters, then, on the one hand, it helps him climb the last passage, on the other it is something that puts a divide between him and All Might. The black curtains. In order to reach All Might, Deku has to pass under this black curtains. I think it stands for the mystery of AfO and everything that is related to the connection of two quirks. Deku has to figure all that stuff out. There is also a divide by the black whip between him and the curtains, so I guess, he is not joining the dark side either. The broken post (or a cabinet?) with 5 plates. Deku has to pass that too in order to get to All Might. I’m not sure what does it stand for. ??????? What could that mean?? Top 5 heroes? Help.
