Despite your attempts to focus on the books scattered around you (largely review and you looking more into specific things about spells, charms and potions not typically covered in class), you had failed spectacularly. You’ll look it up later) you gather what you’re keeping, sling your bag strap over your shoulder and run for the door. No one is actually watching you too closely, but you like to appear like you have somewhere urgent to go.

That somewhere urgent was simply the Hufflepuff common room. It smells like dinner, warmth and moist dirt, which isn’t as unappealing to you as you’d like to tell anyone else it is. It’s from the numerous plants decorating the common room, many of which talk or dance with one another. It’s a cheery atmosphere, one you wish you could bring yourself to stay and enjoy more often.

You were awoken by the particularly loud sound of the secret painting door opening up, hinting that somebody just entered.
