“seungyeonie! there you are ~”

said boy peers up from the book he’s reading, blowing strands of dyed blond hair out of his eyes, a smile tugging at his lips. there’s merely one reason hufflepuff’s head boy would be searching for him, & one reason alone. “hello hyung. let me guess-- you’re wondering where mei is.” 

shinhwa chuckles, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck. “well. yeah. not that i don’t enjoy your company or anything. you’re great, kiddo.”  he affectionately ruffles the younger’s hair, “let’s hang out tomorrow after your care of magical creatures class.” seungyeon playfully rolls his eyes, “yeah, yeah i’m up for it, hyung. in any case, your beloved happens to be with her friends. said something about heading to the great lake. i think saebom tagged along?”

“saebom, WHAT in MERLIN’S NAME are you DOING?”

“i’m playing with the big guy, arazely. what else?” the slytherin boy smirks as he wrestles the tentacles of the school’s lake’s resident, the giant squid. 

“oh my god why is he like this” mei groans, planting her face in her hands in embarrassment. “he really needs to stop asking for trou-- wait. jess?! where’d you get that popcorn?”

“shhh we’re trying to enjoy the show,” nadine automatically interrupts while shoving popcorn into her mouth, completely invested in the scene unfolding before them just as much as jess is.  “MATE THIS ISN’T A REAL FIGHT, DON’T HIT ME, THE HELL! NOW YOU’VE DONE IT, C’MERE”  arazely & mei both want to melt into the grass. saebom oh is overly frustrating ninety percent of the time, yet the two can’t help but worry for his dear life.  - - - - - - - -

“what were you thinking? you could have gotten yourself & squiddy hurt! if i were slytherin’s head boy, i’d be taking points away for this.”  the four girls watch sinhwa lecturing a soaked saebom from under the shady tree. his gentle nature is gone, a stern one taking its place. nadine elbows mei’s side, “your boyfriend’s kind of scary when serious. it’s beautiful.” 

“he’s not my boyfriend,” she whines, shoving nadine away from her. 

jess jumps in, not taking her eyes off of saebom. merlin, he looks more attractive than usual. “yeah, nadine. not her boyfriend. yet! soon hopefully. they’re both dumb.”  

“um at least my quote on quote boyfriend hasn’t gotten into a wrestling match with the giant squid!” 

“you want to fight? let’s go, right now.”  “sit doWN JESSICA WE ARE NOT DOING THIS RIGHT NOW” arazely struggles to pull jess away before she lunges at their friend. nadine is no help whatsoever because she’s rolling on the grass, clutching onto her stomach from laughing too hard. 

the commotion is so loud, the boys turn to them, a glint of curiousness washing over their confused faces. once they catch sight of the poor hufflepuff straining to pull back a wand equipped jessica, they rush right over.

“you’re such an idiot. imagine if you had caught a cold. not that i care though. the entire fiasco was hilarious.” the lavender haired female speaks, ignoring her quickened heart beat. 

she & saebom are currently making themselves comfortable in the slytherin dungeon’s couches. the fireplace is lit, providing a pleasant & much needed warmth to the boy that had gotten himself in quite the predicament not that long ago. 

“it caught your attention, that’s enough for me. cold or not, it was worth it.” 

“stop being gross, i’ll castrate you, i swear” 

a pillow is flung at his head, hitting straight in the face. a laugh runs past his lips as he flings it back, careful not to smack her in the area in which she did him. his interest in jessica isn’t a secret. never has been, never will be. it’ll be shocking if anyone DIDN’T know about his known feelings, honestly. there’s nothing saebom wants more than to be able to hold her hand & kiss the top of her head, be with her during good & bad times. but, in the end, he can’t seem to read her or how she feels in return. 

so, the only thing he can do for now is tease the heck out of her. 

“hey, jess.”

“what?” 

“you’re cuter than any pygmy puff i’ve ever seen.”

“it’s true though? when have i ever lied to you?”

a frantic saebom leaps out of the couch in under a split second, dashing tpwards his dorm room, leaving a pleased jessica smirking to herself in the common room. ah, yes, she indeed adores that boy. too much that she believes its unhealthy at this point.

“i can’t believe mei & jess ditched us for their boyfriends,” nadine huffs, arm hooked with the girl next to her. “i know you wouldn’t betray me like this, ari. don’t be like those losers, stay the way you are: sweet & wonderful.” 

“uhm, yeah, no, i wouldn’t dare to betray you like that. never ever, bub,” arazely says amusingly. little does her friend know that a bouncy ginger she claims to despise is heading their way, & of course the younger doesn’t warn her. why on earth would she waste an opportunity this good? 

clearing her thoat, the hufflepuff hums. “will you look at the time! i’ve got to go meet up with.. um... seungyeon! that’s right, we’re having a study meetup today. gotta go, bye!”

“ARI, WAIt WHY ARE YOU RUNNING AWAY SO QUICKLY--”

“hey nadine. wanna go on a date?” 

that stupid, beautiful voice. she knows its owner like the back of her hand. she takes back everything said about ari. she’s a fake & a liar!!! her friend is going to get it when she sees her again, she swears on merlin’s beard. 

“i’ve told you, euncheol. i don’t date gryffindors. they’re losers” nadine turns to her housemate. yes. they’re in the same house, yet--

“you’re a gryffindor, nadine. calling yourself a loser now, are ya?” euncheol raises a questioning brow, arms crossed against his chest. 

“i’m the exception. anyway, shouldn’t you be worried about, i don’t know, graduating or something? this is your last year. saddening, isn’t it?” 

“mm, that’s exactly right. tis why i’m using the opportunity to see you again in future years. because you’re a person i don’t want to lose sight of.” 

nadine is stunned for a few seconds, thinking how he’ll be the death of her. she goes from taken aback to pretending to gag. “you’re so disgustingly cheesy. but that’s something i terribly like about you.”

euncheol can’t help but grin from ear to ear at the sudden revelation. his cheeks turn pinkish, not knowing what to say.

the girl rolls her eyes before matching his smile. “hogsmeade, next saturday after the hufflepuff vs ravenclaw match. deal?” 

“you got it!”

whenever mei happens to be with sinhwa, they always somehow end up in the courtyard, especially during a bright, sunny day with a beautiful sky shaded blue. the pair is constantly seen together yet everyone wonders why they aren’t together-- a couple. their feelings for one another is clear as a patronus prancing its way through darkness. 

taking a seat on the nearest bench, mei pats her lap with both hands, signaling him to rest his head on it. being head boy comes with countless responsibilities & although he seems to be unfazed most of the time, mei still worries. 

sinhwa contently sighs the moment the back of his head is cushioned on top of her thighs. their eyes meet & they begin to laugh. her fingers soothingly thread through his dark strands, causing him to release another happy sigh. 

“how’s everything? still pooped after that last prank?” mei questions with a faint smile. saebom & chanuk had made such a mess that day, they had detention for three weeks straight. 

“i’m fine, really. wasn’t slightly fazed. those two don’t surprise me anymore. i should know better than to believe they’d grow out of being pranksters.” 

“well, you know i have your back anyhow.”

“mm, that i do believe, miss megan.” he smiles, booping her nose. “thank you. your support is very much appreciated.” 

truly, it’s no wonder that the student body knows there’s something there. seeing them interact like that can make even the headmistress swoon & that’s no lie because she has before.

“seungyeon, seungyeonie, where is he? aaa i checked everywhere,” arazely pouts whilst walking the student-filled corridors. 

okay, so maybe searching for seungyeon was simply to cover her butt in case nadine wanted to kick it for leaving her with euncheol, even if she did it out of love. 

being deep in her thoughts, she doesn’t notice that she’s going to crash into the person in front of her until someone grabs her by the arm, bringing her to the side. 

“watch where you’re going, ara. it would’ve have been pretty if you had bumped head first into that scary lookin’ dude.” 

“oh, chanuk! you saved me from doing something dumb. again. haa, thanks for that.” 

“how many times has it been now? a million?” he questions smugly. “you’re seriously indebted to me. who else is going to rescue you that many times? no one, only me.” 

the hufflepuff girl pouts, “for the record, i don’t ask you to. you just do. because you’re kind like that. isn’t that right, chanukkie?” 

“sure i am. to you. if it were anyone else, i wouldn’t blink an eye.” he shrugs his shoulders. 

her face quickly heats up at his words & before she knows it, she starts running because nope, not today. good bye chanuk, you’re not about to make her feel things. 

it’s not long after that the slytherin boy’s amused laughter echoes throughout the halls of hogwarts school of witchcraft & wizardry.

the sound of rain hitting against the window fills the darkened room as he lays in bed, lifelessly staring up at the ceiling above. 

the boy doesn’t remember the last time he’s been out of his bedroom. it’s been months since he’s actually left his house. doesn’t want to go anywhere, refuses to see anyone. 

he closes those tired eyes of his, falling into a deep slumber, one that he hopes he doesn’t wake up from. 

the rest of the world can easily move forward without yeo changgu. 

hyunggu can’t. 

...

he finds himself in a meadow full of red and yellow flowers, accompanied by a setting sun that he slowly reaches for, as if wanting to stop it from disappearing. retracting his arm, hyunggu takes a look at an empty hand before forming a fist. there’s nothing that can be done to stop the inevitable, a lesson he learned not too long ago. 

it gradually grows darker out and memories of how a pair of mischievous idiots used to sneak out to the quidditch pitch during the night to fly around on their brooms flash before him. they’re yelling into the night and having the time of their lives, nothing stopping them from living in the moment. 

a pained smile spreads across the hurting boy’s face, tears forming and eventually slipping down pinkish cheeks. maybe if he hadn’t pushed changgu so hard, he would have lived longer. if he would have been aware that he was sick, he wouldn’t have forced him at all. 

but no matter. it’s far too late to think about would haves and what ifs. changgu is long gone and he can only stand there, sobbing into his arm. 

with all the crying that he’s doing, hyunggu hardly notices a hand being placed on a quivering shoulder. it’s not until the person behind him speaks that causes him to tense up.

“is my big baby crying? you’re going to end up with an unbearable headache if you keep on like that.” 

that voice being all too familiar, it takes less than a second to face its owner.

“hyung,” a wide eyed hyunggu whimpers. it’s not long after that his hands desperately reach for changgu’s smiling face, and when they come into contact with warm, soft skin, he realizes it’s real. this is horrifically real. “hyung!” he cries out once more before wrapping arms around his neck and tackling him down. 

changgu’s back slams against green grass, surely squashing some flowers along the way. a hearty laugh escapes the older boy’s lips after securely wrapping his arms around his best friend’s frame, and goddammit, it’s like music to hyunggu’s ears. 

they stay quiet for a few minutes, both listening to a mixture of the younger’s on and off sobs as well as their breathing. 

“hyunggu.” changgu says softly, stroking his hair. “you can’t stay behind four walls forever. you have to go out; do what i didn’t have much time to do-- live.”

...

they dance under the moonlight for what seems like hours. talking, crying, laughing, chasing, and tackling each other until it’s time to say their final good bye. 

“you’ll always be in my heart, yeo changgu.”

“i’d better fucking be, kang hyunggu.”

“i love you.”

“i love you too. i’ll be your guardian angel, looking out for you from above until we meet again.”

hyunggu sees changgu brightly smile at him for the last time before everything around him turns black.

he opens those once tired eyes of his, falling back into the reality he once hated, one that he hopes will get better.

the rest of the world can easily move forward without yeo changgu.

gryffindor vs ravenclaw : in which rina leads her team to victory while the squad watches from the stands.  note: when the commentary is being made,  ★ is daehyun &  ☆ is youngjae! 

“listen up, team,” rina hollers, broom in hand. 

the loudness in the locker room quickly dies out as the members of the gryffindor quidditch team listen to their captain’s pep talk. 

“we’ve done great thus far. let’s not break our streak to those ravens,” she says, eyes twinkling and a hint of mischievousness in her tone of voice. 

she scans the faces of her team, staring at every single one of them affectionately. she’s worked them to the bone this season, thus making a promise of treating them to honeydukes whether they win the inter-house cup or not. 

“aw, check out how she’s looking at us,” coos wonshik, running, and almost tripping over his uniform, and looping his arms around her shoulder. 

“gross. get away from me.”  hakyeon joins in on the embrace, pressing his cheek to hers. she will murder them both after this game, she thinks. 

the rest of the team cheers, holding their brooms up, the bottom of their scarlet quidditch robes swaying back and forth. a beautiful sight, truly. 

rina is released from her teammates grasp and grins, “time to kick ass. let’s go.”

the stands are full of excited students and teachers waiting to watch the much anticipated game. many have their binoculars in hand to get the best view of the players. 

“hello everyone. this is commentator jung daehyun reporting. alongside me is youngjae. say hello ~”

“don’t tell me what to do. anyway, hi folks. today’s game is ravenclaw vs gryffindor! i can smell the anticipation in the air,” youngjae speaks into his mic enthusiastically.

“it’s funny, isn’t it? our houses going head to head. i don’t know about you guys, but i feel like youngjae will be biased as alwa-- OW! you shi--” 

“mr. jung! language!” 

“he literally HIT me!”

“yoo, hands off.” 

“yes professor mcgonagall,” youngjae turns to smile at her, only to lock eyes with his girlfriend sitting behind her. he blows a kiss and sends a wink her way before facing forward again.  mcgonagall says nothing though you can tell by her expression that she’s unamused by his ‘romantic’ gestures. are all teenagers this greasy? heavens save them all. 

nadine, who’s cracking up with laughter because damn she really loves that idiot, is sitting beside jessica and hongbin. behind those three, mei, arazely, and jongup are, too, seated.  “excited to watch taekwoon play?” arazely playfully nudges mei. the pinkish tint that sprouts on the girl’s cheeks doesn’t go unnoticed. she opens her mouth to respond until jess beats her to the punch.

“she sure is. didn’t stop reminding me about the match all week!”  “that’s right,” hongbin jumps in to confirm, a smirk tugging at his lips. he’s a prodigy at teasing others at any given time. it’s no surprise that he and jess are in a relationship. they’re made for each other. “don’t worry, little one. i didn’t say a word to him about it though i probably should have. his reaction would have been priceless.”  “leave me alone,” the ravenclaw whines, hiding the redness in her face with her hands. “let’s not forget that we’re also here to support rina!!!” arazely laughs while jongup is highly confused but ends up smiling brightly anyhow. and nadine, well-- she stays staring at youngjae bicker with daehyun like a lovesick fool. 

down below, madam hooch is seen with broom in hand as the two teams walk onto the middle of the field. 

the stands go wild, whistling and chanting being heard from every direction. 

“game time!” daehyun yells, fist punching the air, waving it around hysterically.

“alright, you kids know the rules. i want a clean game,” the older woman states. 

rina hears taekwoon sigh beside her, and although she feels the struggle of wanting to get into the air asap, she can’t stop herself from poking fun at him for a bit. “hey taek,” she whispers, bumping his shoulder. the boy lazily turns his head, the look on his face asking “what?”  “don’t think that cause you’re my friend’s boy thing that my team’s going to go easy on you.”  taekwoon scoffs, clearly offended that the thought of putting no effort into competing against him even crossed her mind. “what ever do you mean?” 

“you knoooow,” rina wiggles her eyebrows suggestively. he sighs again, only this time a tad louder. why must mei hang around such strange people? he doesn’t deserve.  their little conversation is cut short when madam hooch finally says “mount your brooms.”  the fourteen players hurriedly do so, kicking the ground to fly upwards, and off they go in the speed of light. 

a young witch from the house of gryffindor runs like her life depends on it, almost tripping over her feet. luckily, she catches herself before her body can make contact with the cold floor, a rather hushed 'fuck' escaping her lips.

minutes later, she enters the great hall at last and with perfect timing... her stomach won't stop growling.

"HEY SHITHEAD, YOU'RE LATE," someone yells above all the students' noisy chatter. some laugh, others pay no mind and continue to stuff their faces.

the girl can't help roll her eyes, hands smoothing out her robes while approaching the dweebs she calls friends.

"mornin' mei. fuck you, jess," she greets with a grin and takes the empty seat beside mei. it doesn't take long to start gobbling up the food in front of her.

the rational one of the three, mei, stifles a giggle and lightly pinches her beloved friend's cheek.

"slow down. you're going to choke."

"let her. maybe she'll learn something for once."

"jess, shut up."

"what? i'm joking."

rina drops the spoon into the now empty bowl before snorting. "of course you are. anyway, on to important matters. you'll be coming to my quidditch match tomorrow, right?"

"sure. we'd love to support the rival team and see gryffindor's ass get beat."

"i hope arazely ends up shoving her goddamn broomstick up your ho ass."

the two bicker back and forth and mei sits there thinking about what she did wrong in her past life to deserve this. it's no surprise that jyqa and arazely had run off to one of the other three tables.

“no. can still hear them screaming their lungs out at one another.” 

“shouldn’t we go back and save mei?”

the girl with the green and silver crest looks up from her ‘a history of magic’ textbook, taking notice of the other’s conflicted expression. such a softie, this one.

“no you’re not,” youngjae says smoothly, tugging at her school robes and dragging her far, far away from her housemate before she reaches for her wand.

the male sighs, leading the fuming slytherin to the nearby wall to which she places her back against, cornering her with both of his arms.

“babe, he’s an egotistical, problem-starting idiot that’s plan is to get on a person’s bad side. not worth getting sent to the headmaster’s office for.” 

nadine makes a face and squints up at him, her anger fading because he’s right and just-- gah, (not exactly) stupid, cute boyfriend and his logical sense of nature. 

“i also remind you that i can kick his ass on the quidditch field, so no worries.”

rolling her eyes and cracking a smile, the girl brushes her nose against his.  

“i’d love to see that, boo,” she states, placing a kiss on his chin. “but if, i repeat, if he hurts you, i won’t turn him into a duck. i’ll turn him into dust.” 

her boyfriend is a gross and smart ass ravenclaw, but she’ll defend him until the end of time. if anything, she’s owes a lot to him because who else would stop her from doing stupid shit? who would have been there to detain her from using fucking ducklifors on chanyeol?

“and i love you even more.” youngjae grins, leaning down to place non stop kisses on her lips. 

mochi & hongbin.

hongbin was in the comforts of his home, snuggling a midst the pillows and blankets he had set up on the carpet flooring. the television screen was flashing with scenes of quick, flaring action. he had decided to watch the latest fast and the furious movie and he had to admit that it was looking pretty great so far. in fact, he was so absorbed into the film that he almost missed his cellphone go off. almost. 

he averted his vision from the screen and lazily reached for the cellular device. who on earth could be texting him this late at night? a small smile grew on his face once he saw the contact name. however, the smile turned into fits of laughter after he viewed the text messages that were sent to him.

he felt guilt swelling up in his interior for laughing quite casually at apparent mochi's drunk state. "aish, really. what am i going to do with you," he continued to chuckle, facepalming with phone in hand. his laying position on the floor changed to him sitting up and crossing his legs. fingers rapidly jabbed onto the screen letters in reply.

rolling on the floor in her drunken state, mochi pretended to be a log. logs could roll down hills and have fun. they had all the freedom, those damned logs. "wheeeee," she cried as she continued to roll around everywhere. she was so emerged in her little world that when hongbin stepped foot into the living room, she didn't notice him laughing hysterically. 

"mochi- whata-" hongbin couldn't breathe properly at this point. he was leaning forward and clutching his stomach with bent knees. 

mochi stopped, eyes twinkling as she spotted her beloved boyfriend. "BINNIE, yoU'RE hereEEeeE." she attempted to get up until she began to wobble, causing hongbin's laughter to stop. he ran towards her and wrapped his arms around her waist to keep her balanced. 

"come on, jagi. we're getting you into bed." 

the girl hiccuped. "nooo, binnie, i'm n-not tired!! let's stay up forever!!!!" 

hongbin chuckled. what a gem his girlfriend was, even when intoxicated. "nope. bed. let's go." he bent down and picked mochi up bridal style(to which she protested), walking towards to bedroom afterwards. once in the room, he carefully placed her on the bed. the girl pouted and turned on her side, reaching for the hem of hongbin's shirt sleeve. 

"b-b-binnieieie, ar-re you go-going stay with ee?" 

the warmest smile of all smiles, the one he reserved only for her, grew on his face. he hummed, placing a kiss on her forehead, "of course, silly goose." 

mochi's cheeks tingled, her heart racing a little faster than before. without thinking, she swiftly pulled him down on top of her. he yelped in surprise as he came crashing down. 

"yAaAya yo-you're HEAVY. ScHooT OVERr," she whined, therefore pushing him with the strength she had to the empty side of the bed next to her. once she was finished, she cuddled up next to him like nothing had occurred. before sleep overtook her, she muttered, "i love you, binnie."

no response. youngjae opened his mouth to speak once more.

"bae. baeeeeee. pay attention to me. talk to me."

"no, you facking suck. get away from me."

well shit. what did he do now? the boy ( he's still a boy leave me alone ) crossed his arms in disapproval, eyes squinting as he bent down to get a good look at his pouty girlfriend. she took notice of how close he was getting and released a high pitched squeak whilst quickly taking a step back.

youngjae frowned. "why are you being like this? what did i do?" 

nadine huffed as she scurried off to the living room. two seconds hadn't even passed before she had made her return with her laptop in hand. the screen was then shoved into his face, causing him to jump in surprise. 

"who gave you the right," she hysterically screeched. 

what. he was confused. what was she talking about? "look at the damn screen, you dumb dumb!!!" oh. 

his eyes averted from his girl to the glowing display screen. the boy blinked. there were pictures of him from the recent loe concert shows arranged. that's when his mind clicked. a smug grin tugged at his lips. "so, this is what you're angry at me for? huh. i look pretty darn fine in these photos, don't i?" 

"don't you facking give me that smirk. and no, you look dumb and stupid and adorable and handsome. sHIT. i'm 100% done with you and your shit." 

"aw, c'mon. we both know that's not true. you love me too much," he spoke with grin still intact. 

"that's.. very accurate. dammit yoo youngjae. just gET AWAY FROM ME. I DISLIKE YOU. BYE." nadine snatched the laptop away from his grasp and went back to put it back from where it came from. his feet began to move, following after the crazy girl he proclaimed as his girlfriend.

once he had caught up, he sighted her on the couch sulking with laptop in her lap. she was scrolling through the pictures and it was pretty darn cute. she was pretty darn cute actually. though he was a bit annoyed that she preferred staring at him from a computer screen when she had him there in person. 

"he looks so freaking good here. i'M SO MAD. ANGRY. RAGEEEEE," she shouted in outrage, shaking the poor electronic device. 

"i'm glad you think so. now stop and place your attention on me. i'm getting jealous." all of a sudden he was right in front of her, shutting the thing closed and placing it on the coffee table. he then joined her on the comfy couch, arm wrapping around to pull her close. super, mega close.

nadine struggled to get loose in the beginning, but eventually deflated in his arms. she wasn't going to escape this one. "youngjae," she whined, shifting her body to gain a comfortable position.

"no, sh, let's stay like this for a while, okay? okay." 

the girl sighed. "how long are you planning to keep me hostage like this?"

"not sure. maybe all night. i like when we're together like this. by the way, you haven't kissed me all day. now seems like a good time to do that." so like, this fool leaned forward, their lips so close to touching. nadine didn't even see it coming. like wow. much surprise. 

"wait wha--" 

yukwon & bekah 

Nothing. No news on her whereabouts. No nothing. She had completely disappeared from the face of the planet, this girl. It had began to frustrate Yukwon more than anything as the days dragged on. She had taken her leave from the school of magic after the graduation ceremony without any word of where she was heading. Not even a mere good bye was said before she went out on her journey to who knows where. He wasn't infuriated by any means. He knew that that's just how the older girl was, yet he still couldn't help but worry about her. Friends considered on doing a search party, though it would do of no good. Hwanhui tried her best to calm the hufflepuff down, to which he was thankful. If it weren't for his girlfriend, he felt as if he would have gone completely insane. 

He couldn't deny that a part of his heart had torn off. He had lost another loved one once again.  -- 

It was his seventh year, his final year, at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was supposed to be a fantastic year. He was to graduate. However, it was hard to go around the school without hearing stupid shit about his noona. Students whispered harsh, malicious things about Rebekah Kim as he wandered the halls of the school of magic. With gritted teeth and balled fists, he continued his way to his classes and dormitory every day without snapping. No, he wasn't going to break down in front of such imbeciles. Until one day, he broke his own promise. Lashing out was probably the worst thing he had ever done. It had only caused him to get into trouble with the headmaster. Oops. Did he care though? Not really. As long as he walked those damn halls, he wasn't going to allow anyone to badmouth his friend. No way in hell. 

"Dammit Bekah noona." 

She was out there somewhere, living her life. He just painfully hoped wherever she was, she wasn't going through anything alone. More than anything, all he wanted was for her to be happy.

An exhausted puff came to be released. He escaped the school grounds to take a walk, clear his mind. At that point, he didn't care if he got caught. Not anymore. There he was again, being anxious. Clouded dreams haunted him. A lost lion cub looking for mama lion when she was no where to be found: that's what he felt like that. What was he to do to not feel this way anymore? Memories flashed before him like a motion picture. "My favorite Kwonniecake, I'm back ~" 

"… oh, that sounds awfully boring. You need some excitement in your life, Kwonniecake. " 

"I’ll go to the store with you to buy it all if you don’t already have them. Or… you know. I can bake you cakes. I AM THE ~*CAKE QUEEN*~ after all." 

The wind blew roughly, his already messy hair growing even messier because of it. He held back a chocked sob, vicious tears already threatening to fall. As the wind continued to thrash, he thought he heard laughter as it flowed. That laugh. "Noona?" he stuttered out questioningly. His head turned in every direction in hopes of catching a glimpse of someone there. No one. "I've lost it. I've completely lost it. God, kill me." The heart grew heavy with ache in his chest. 

His hand twitched. There was the familiar laughter again. Stupid ass wind. The boy desired to shout, scream, and curse unmercifully.  

"You're not here, right, noona? You're somewhere else, I'm quite sure of it. But I'll pretend you're here anyway because I miss you loads." He was a complete fool, but the laugh in the wind was the closest thing to Bekah at that moment; even if it wasn't her.  "I hope one day years from now, you'll come back to see how much I've grown. I won't be the stupid Yukwon you knew here. I'll be better than that, I promise. Then I'll introduce you to my girlfriend and by that time, we'll most likely be married and have kids. You'll be here to meet my kids, right? I think they would like you. You can be a grandma of sorts or something. Wait, nevermind, you wouldn't want to feel like a grandma. An auntie is better. Ah, I hope that you're doing well and that you're happy because I wouldn't like it if you weren't. Did I mention that I miss you a lot?" 

yukwon & kikwang -- ten years later. 

"Kikwang, are you serious?" 

"No, I'm joking," the former gryffindor retorted, swiping a small box out of his coat pocket. With a flick, it opened, revealing the beautiful diamond ring inside. "Of course I'm serious, Kwonnie!" 

Yukwon's eyes grew wide at the sight of it. He tilted his head to the side as his eyes shifted to stare at his best friend, boring a hole into his face. His mind was trying to process the details of this engagement thing. How adequate. A grin steadily grew upon his features, body reaching forward to give a congratulate hug to the other male. 

"About damn time, hyung! I knew you would end up with Seulmi. Did I not tell you? She's perfect for you," he mused, pulling back from the embrace, grin still on his face. 

No doubt that the boy ( he's still a boy at heart, shut up. ) was extremely delighted with the news. He had been waiting for this day to come. Everything seemed to be going into place now.  Kikwang let out a buoyant laugh, eyes playfully rolling at Yukwon's blabbering. He hadn't seen this punk in a while and yet here he is. Still the same ole' Kwonnie, he thought. "You've told me a of couple of times, yeah," he uttered, "I'm happy with her, honestly. She's been with me through thick and thin. It's only logical that I ask her to be my wife, right?" 

"Of course ~  When are you planning to propose?"

"Tomorrow. I'm nervous though. I mean, what if she rejects me? What will I do then? She'll end up leaving me or--"

There goes the negativity. Lee Kikwang always brings in negativity when it comes to situations like this. Not one does he think positive. Right then and there, Yukwon had the urge to grab his wand and whack the other on the head with it. And that's exactly what he did. 

The older male yelped, immediately protesting. "Yah, I'm your hyung!!" 

"Yeah, whatever. You're an idiot. Stop being so darn pessimistic. She is not going to turn you down, understand? Like you said, she's been with you through thick and thin.  If she didn't want anything more, she wouldn't be with you. She's probably been waiting on this proposal for a long time. I'm 100% sure she won't decline." The younger continued to rant on about how negativity leads no where and how he was going to beat the other's ass if he didn't stop being such a wuss. 

"Hey, watch your tongue, kid. I'm telling Hana how disrespectful you're being to me," he cried out. ".. So you think you're some kind of an expert now, huh? Just because you got married before me!!" 

"Duh," he snorted, "I even had kids before you, but let's not argue over that now. Let's talk about wedding roles. I'm going to be your best man, right?" 

"Explain to me on why you should be and I'll think about it." 

"I'm your best friend!" 

"That's not a very great explanation. It needs more detail." 

"Detail, my buttocks. That's a good enough excuse! I DEMAND TO BE BEST MAN."
