it was already attempt number 3, and sukuna wasn’t giving up any time soon. third times the charm, apparently.

you guys shared some classes, so he had a better excuse to talk to you. he knew you liked cafes or eating out, so what better way to take you your friend out and get yourself involved in some way?

sukuna was talking to a friend of yours, the same one that hooked up with him. she agreed to help him, mostly because she would get money out of it and another quick fuck.

it was time for your econ class, and you usually sat next to your friend. She invited you to the hangout, well dinner, and you agreed.

at the right time, 8 PM, you and your friend walked into the hotpot restaurant, where Sukuna was waiting.

when you spotted him, your eyes widened and you turned to your friend.

“what the hell, why is he here?!..” your eyes darted to his, where he was staring back.

“relax, I didn’t know he was going to be here, okay?” your friend led you onto the restaurant, where he also followed after.

you and sukuna just gave each other death glares, eating silently while your friend ‘excused herself to the bathroom’ yet it had been 20 minutes and she wasn’t back.

“why do you hate me so much?” your head snapped up at Sukuna words.

“who said I hated you?” the meat on the grill sizzled, providing some noise to fill in the silence.

“well, you’re always ignoring me and turning me down. no girl turns me down.” Sukuna messed around with the piece of meat with his chopsticks, sulking.

“looks like I’m the first and to be honest, you’re just not my type. you’re a playboy, fratboy, need I say more?” you took the piece of meat, putting it into your mouth.

“what?”

“just the truth. look, no offense, but I would rather shit on my hands and clap than ever give you a chance.”

well, safe to say that the dinner date didn’t end up well at all, ending with you taking the train home when Sukuna offered to drive you home.

he was starting to lose a slight flicker of hope but he’s still going to try.

another day, another attempt for sukuna to try and win you over despite barely knowing you.

the second time took place at a party most likely held by his frat brothers, and you had been invited by gojo. you were pretty close to him but anyway, you had your friend by your side anyway.

you entered the house, music & lights already damaging your ears and eyes. the whole house smelled of cheap, heavy cologne and a hot spring night.

sukuna had spotted you, gojo nudging him.

“sukuna, she’s here.”

midway through the time of you being at the party, sukuna went towards you to try his luck once again.

he cleared his throat, and your friend nudged you to make you turn and see sukuna. when you turned around, all he saw was your flushed cheeks, bloodshot and glossy eyes. were you drunk? he stood there for a moment, memorized.

“oh, hi!..” he snapped out of his trance after you spoke up, looking a bit confused.

“sukuna, right?” you tilted your head, and he was a goner. “uh, yeah.”

it was a bit awkward, even more after your friend’s hand lingered on your shoulder before leaving the two of you alone.

“I was wondering if ya wanted to you know, hang out with me and the rest of the frat boys?” he stuttered a bit, already mentally cringing. he wasn’t nervous. ever.

you looked over his shoulder, noticing gojo making a heart around you and sukuna. it got you a bit irritated at the thought of gojo shipping you two, so you rudely declined sukuna.

“sorry, but I don’t hang around players. who have suspicions of an std, or syphilis. same thing.” you walked away, leaving sukuna standing there once again.

. . . you’ve heard of him before. sukuna. you knew that apparently, he loved to fuck around with girls, mostly at parties, and got in trouble most of the time because he was a typical fratboy.

he never noticed you, and you never noticed him despite hearing about him from your friend after they spent a night with him.

the first time he actually saw you, was in his English Comp class, where you always raised your hand to answer the professor’s questions. Sukuna noticed how you seemed nothing like the girls he was used to, both personality wise and looks.

you were walking down the hallway, talking to the same friend who hooked up with sukuna, when he tapped your shoulder.

you turned around, looking up at him.

a few awkward, slient seconds passed before you responded.
