"If I run and leap at him, he will most definitely catch me in his arms...hopefully."
Based off that one scene from Brooklyn 99 where Jake leaps at Terry, featuring some of the Twisted Wonderland overblot characters.
Characters: Malleus Draconia, Vil Schoenheit, Jamil Viper, and Leona Kingscholar
Notes: Recently got back into TWST so please don't mind any OOC elements and grammatical errors in the stories.
He would most definitely drop everything and anything that he was holding just to catch you in his arms.
There wouldn't be a world where he wouldn't.
Before you could even break into a sprint across the field, a flash of green darts between you and Malleus.
"YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GET ANY CLOESR TO YOUNG MASTER MALLEUS!"
Despite the fact that you and Malleus were probably fifty feet away from each other, Sebek still steps directly in front of you, blocking your view of the Briar Valley Crown Prince.
Sebek towers over you and lowers his gaze, "What exactly are you planning, human?"
You take a step back, putting a little distance between the both of you. There was definitely no way Sebek would allow you to sprint towards his master and practically tackle him.
"I want to test Hornton's ability to catch," you reply, hoping he wouldn't question you any further about your plans.
"YOU DARE TO QUESTION YOUNG MASTER MALLEUS' ABILITIES?!"
"Why are you being defensive? Are you trying to tell me that he's not good at sports?"
"OF COURSE NOT!" He frowns, before continuing, "How would you even test-"
While Sebek was distracted, you take the opportunity to sprint towards Malleus, who was occupied with a book about gargoyles.
Malleus looks up from his book, his eyes widen slightly in surprise as you sprint towards him. You close the last few feet between the two of you, hoping that Malleus would catch you and not just drop you onto the ground, and leap at him.
And he catches you in his arms, dropping the book and pulling you gently towards his chest as if you belong there.
"Such as bold move, Child of Man," he greets you with a soft smile, "Is this a human tradition?"
You shrug, "No, but we could make it our tradition-"
Before you could finish suggesting the idea, you're yanked out of Malleus' arms and placed back onto your feet.
"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Sebek screeches, "Do you know how disrespectful that was?"
Well, at least you were somewhat successful.
He could totally catch you.
The real question is would he?
"He would absolutely not."
"Huh?" You snap out of your thoughts and face towards Epel, who looks at you in pure disbelief. You frown, confused, "What are you talking about?"
"You're thinking about if whether or not Vil would catch you, and the answer is no," the first year shuts down your idea and returns to his lunch.
You poke him, "Hold up, how did you even know I was thinking about that?"
"Because Sebek is STILL complaining about how you practically tackled Malleus the other day."
"First of all, I did not tackle Hornton," you firmly shut down Sebek's ridiculous accusation, "Secondary, Vil Schoenheit would most definitely catch me if I run and leap at him."
A new voice chimes in, instantly grabbing you and Epel's attention. Ace appears in front of you, a mischievous smile spreading across his face.
You start making your way towards the Pomefiore Housewarden, your pace picking up speed as you close the distance between the both of you.
Vil sidesteps at the last second, gracefully as always, and watches you make a fool of yourself as you fly past him. You swear you see your life flash before your eyes until-
"Bonjour! It seems like a beautiful flower has fallen into my arms."
Rook Hunt catches you effortlessly, gently pulling you closer.
You never realised how charming Rook was until you were this close to him. You nose practically almost touching, and for just a second, it felt as if it was just the two of you in the room.
"What...am I looking at...?"
You freeze, feeling a sudden temperature change in the room. You slowly turn and see Vil glaring at you.
Rook places you back down on your feet and gives Vil a teasing smile, "It seems like Trickster was attempting to test our Roi du Poison's vigilance."
At least you didn't fall face first onto the ground.
Or at least you think he wouldn't.
"What are you staring at?"
Kalim shifts closer, trying to follow your gaze, "Huh? Why are you looking at Jamil?"
"I'm not!" You denied, leaning away from the Scarabia Housewarden.
"Don't tell me you have a crush on him?"
"Pfft- no!" You responded, before giving up and explaining why you were staring at his best friend, "I'm just wondering if I was to run and leap at Jamil, would he catch me?"
"Oh like how Malleus and Vil caught you?"
"How did you hear about that?"
Kalim shrugs, "A little birdie told me that you haven't landed on your face yet!"
You pause, "Right, and you don't believe Jamil can catch me?"
"I believe he will, but, I also believe that he will drop you to catch me instead," Kalim explains, before adding, "Because I'm his best friend."
"Fine, let's see who he likes better."
You start sprinting towards the unsuspecting Jamil, who was completing minding his own business.
Jamil lets out an annoyed sigh, as if he was expecting this to happen. He steps forward, catching you in his arms and tightening his hold so you wouldn't fall.
His expression barely changed but a hint of red dusted across his cheeks, so subtle that you would've missed it if you weren't as close to him as you were in his arms.
He smirks, "You have no idea what you-"
Kalim tackles the both of you onto ground.
With Leona, it felt like you were gambling on the fate of your face. There was a fifty percent chance he would catch you and maybe also question your sanity.
But there was also the other fifty percent chance where he would drop you and still question your sanity.
Speaking of, you were wondering where he was.
"GYAH!" Ruggie lets out a startled laugh, "Don't sneak up on me like that, you almost made me drop my lunch!"
"Sorry, didn't mean to." You sheepishly replied, "But have you seen Leona, I need to speak to him."
Ruggie nodded, pointing towards the botanical garden.
You enter the garden, eyes roaming the area for a certain housewarden.
"Leona?" You call out, waiting for him to respond.
You turn toward the sound, spotting him standing just a few feet away from where you were.
You jog towards him, closing the distance between the both of you and leaping at him.
Normally, Leona Kingscholar would be strong enough to keep his footing whenever he needed to.
However, he was totally not expecting you to suddenly tackle him, causing him to stumble and fall down backwards with locked you in his arms.
Your head rests against Leona's chest, and for a moment, you swear you hear his heartbeat quickening.
It was somewhat comforting.
Until you realised whose chest you were laying on.
You attempt to push yourself off him, embarrassed of the position that you two were in, "Sorry, I'll get of- what the-"
You let out a startled gasp as Leona pulls you back into his arms, gently placing a hand on your head.
"Too noisy..." Leona mumbles, "This is the perfect spot for napping, so close your eyes, Herbivore."
Before you could attempt to question him, a soft snore interrupts you.
Whatever, you guess you could stay another hour or two with him.
Little did you know, this was his plan all along.
