As you make your way towards the library you're met with a girl working at the front desk compared to the typical to the typical older man.
She seems a little lost in her own world, long wavy brown hair tied up in a ponytail with a pink ribbon.
Her whole outfit seems very meticulously coordinated, soft pink shirt with a fluffy white skirt. It goes well with her soft brown skin and thick framed glasses.
Her eyes flit over to you for a second, and she offers you a soft smile.
You smile back and give her a soft wave.
Your eyes zone onto the name badge attached onto her brown blouse, draped over one of her breasts. 'Cassie'.
Making your way over to the tables, you're surprised to see how full they are. The library is never this full.
Then it hits you, the third and first floor are both out of use, which means everyone is going to crammed into one floor.
With a sigh you quickly survey your options, preferably some place where your existence won't bother as many people as possible.
With a defeated groan you make your way to one of the tables where a boy sits, alone. You offer him a soft apologetic smile as you stand there awkwardly, his big, brown eyes meet yours before they widen for a fraction of a second. He scrambles for a second, pale hands grabbing his things, making room for you as he mutters a raspy, "Sorry" under his breath before he coughs, like he hasn't spoken in a very long time.
He rubs the bandage over his hand, barely visible and hidden by his large black hoodie which practically engulfs his frame.
You tell him he's fine and get your things set up, getting ready to revise the content before your next chemistry class.
A few hours pass and as your packing your things to get ready for your chemistry class, you notice that the boy you were sitting with is also grabbing his things. 'A coincidence. There are loads of classes that start at 1pm.'
You walk slightly ahead of him, giving Cassie a wave as you push the door open. She smiles and waves back at you from the desk, "Come back soon!" She grins, her voice just a bit forced.
You nod as you keep the door open for the boy who's a little taken aback by your random act of kindness. "Uh… thanks." He mutters under his breath.
The pair of you walk side by side in a strange silence as you make your way to the chemistry lecture hall. 'Okay so he's in my class. So what? There are loads of people in my chemistry class.' You try to justify how weird this whole thing is in your head.
The boy takes a seat at the far end of the lecture hall.
