Engimatic Sojourner

A storm front washed in over top of me while I was out paddle boarding. Was able to catch the fleeting majesty of distant lightning when I made it back to shore.

Cover design I did for the Legendary Sagas, a collection of mythology and moral teachings in the fictional religion of Réttvegr for my worldbuilding project.

My first draft for the flag of Háloginland. I wanted to go with something very ornate and detailed. Unfortunately, that doesn't always compress well, so I produced a simplified variant. Also included is the national seal version.

I recently started a new Nordic themed nation on NationStates called Háloginland. I wanted to go for a more monarchical bent, so rather than focusing on the national flag, a trend which emerged after the Age of Revolution and the rise of Republicanism, I thought that it should instead be best exemplified by an upright banner. The Solar Cross + boat motif was inspired by the petroglyphs found at Tanum in Sweden. The chevron was inspired by the paining Viking Ships of the King Olaf I of Norway. I wanted to capture the exuberant maximalism of a proper royal design. I have also included the simplified maritime flag.
