Joining the reunion team to assist in planning was open to ALL. In fact, I was begging people to join. You were and still are more than welcome to join to give your ideas and opinions.
The only idea I have is to move everything to January when there’s nothing else to do. I’m not a canon shipper. I’m not a slash shipper. I rarely feel welcome at these sorts of things as it is because of those two things alone. *shrug*
But it would have been more fun and easier to participate during a month with downtime instead of in the middle of crazy fic/nano/holiday season.

The idea of the reunion was to NOT make it hard work and to make it fun. If you look at the schedule of events in the main community, they aren't all required a lot of planning. Part of the reason to plan it around a heavy time with fics being posted in exchanges was for the people coming back to have lots to do and, hopefully, drive up reading participation in those fests/exchanges.
Sorry you feel you won't be able to participate.

We really want the reunion to have a feeling like it was back then on LJ, including an active flist, filled with various things we all enjoyed - fic, art, meta, and the sense of sharing our love. So there will be events both here and in various other communities around LJ.

Help plan the Potter Fandom Online Reunion
HP Reunion Team LJ
Helping out with the planning of the reunion does not require you to be present at the reunion. The minimal requirement is to simply weigh in on ideas presented or present your own. Heavier participation in the reunion will be requested during the course of the preparations, but it will be entirely up to you whether to volunteer for that sort of commitment.

The reunion is online. Of course, if any side meetups want to happen, and a group of fans get together to participate in the online activities together that's great. But it's on LJ fandom reunion.

No date is set, but Autumn 2014 is the target.
We are going to do it old school style and it will primarily be on LJ.
It won't be awesome unless a lot of people are involved and help plan. I have general ideas, but the fandom was big and I don't want anyone left out!
