You are a whole person, Santana.  Everything from your parseltongue to your pretty green fire and everything in between.  You're totally my sexy package, even if, you know, I can't, like...  You know.  We're the best together, though.  We make each other stronger.  

You're my everything, too.  You make me feel safe when you hug me and kiss me and hold my hand and take care of me.  I think just being around you makes me feel safe.  I know, even when I'm scared, that you would never let something back happen to me.  Sometimes I feel like it's weak to feel like that, but then I think, you know, if I can't feel this way about you, then what is the point of love?  If we can't rely on each other then who can we rely on, right? 

Yes, but it’s totally adorable so don’t be embarrassed. Sometimes you make little kissy faces too. You didn’t this time, but you would do it all the time when you were sleeping over at my place. 

Maybe it's because I love you so much that I can't help it. 

Brittany, you don’t have to thank me. You are my girlfriend, I love you,and I want to help take care of you. Besides I like when you are cuddled into me, being all cute and sweet. You make little chirping sounds sometimes when you sleep.

Santana laid awake the entire time Brittany was sleeping. She was nervous that if she fell asleep, she might miss Brittany when she needed her. So she stayed awake plotting out revenge, and protection spells. 

While Brittany sleeps, Santana stays up plotting how to keep her safe. Despite what Brittany says, Santana has already decided she needs a security detail. Santana had thought about it before with all the attention Brittany has been getting lately, and the rumors of endorsement deals. It was just a matter of time before security was necessary to get her in and out quidditch games. With the new threat of the pervs from the past popping up, it just fast tracked the inevitable. Santana just had to decide who she trusted enough to watch someone as precious as Brittany. She would have to think hard on that. Santana was also coming up with ways to make the asshole who came up to Brittany after the match pay. All of the guys would suffer, but what happened to him had to be far worse. How fucking dare he come up to Brittany. What gave him the nerve to not only go to her game but come up and taunt her after. Fucking perv! Santana was going to make him pay. There was no way she could let him get away with this. Thank you New York for being overly paranoid and having CCTV cameras everywhere. Finding the guy shouldn’t be that difficult at all. 

Brittany wakes several hours later, her eyes feeling gritty, her stomach grumbling, but her head feeling clearer than it has since the last match.  Even before she opens her eyes, she can hear Santana's heart beating beneath her ear, can smell Santana surrounding her, can feel the warmth of Santana's skin against her own.  You're still here.  

Brittany's jaw cracks from the size of her yawn, and she's asleep before her next breath.  

You should definitely get some sleep. Not sleeping is not good for you. I will be here when you wake up, okay?

Santana holds on to Brittany, and tries her best not to cry. 

Santana instantly backed off the moment she heard the panic in Brittany’s voice. 

Brittany clings to Santana, her face buried in Santana's neck. 

Brittany closed her eyes, and her hands scratched up Santana's back.  The darkness inside her lids was a mistake, though, as she felt Santana's weight on her.  No, wait, no, no, no, not like this.  Fuck.  No, I can't.  I... 

No, no, it isn’t like that. You know I want to, but I’m just worried about you. You haven’t let me touch you in weeks, and now you are plowing forward, and I just want to make sure you are okay.

Brittany hummed into the kiss, desperately pulling their bodies together.  Santana was soft and warm and curvy, and she'd know her scent anywhere.  She didn't close her eyes, even in the kiss, too afraid that something else would invade her mind if she did.
