“trauma of carrying an incestuous relationship your whole life” “you need maternal love and when it’s a sexual love you are given […]” sam spelling it out that lestat did not want or seek this dynamic with gabriella, he wanted a mother-son relationship and he was given something else. lestat literally asked for gabriella to stop wanting to have sex with him, he knows that it’s a fucked up relationship but he doesn’t fight back when she pushes over his boudaries, probably afraid that in doing so he’ll make her leave. it’s also why I disagree that lestat is trying to force gabriella into motherhood, it’s clear he merely wants her to be around and stop seeing him as someone to have sex with, which should not be too much to ask.
