How does it end?

Josh finds Dalton and rescues him from the demon’s lair. They struggle their way back across the Further as the dead become increasingly aggressive. Inside the house, Dalton eludes the demon and returns to his body. Josh stops to confront the bride in black who appeared behind him in his childhood pictures. Renai is calling for him from the living world as he screams at the ghost to leave him alone. Renai and Lorraine look after Dalton as Josh and Elise clean up in the other room. Elise senses something is wrong and takes a picture of Josh. He is enraged that she would do such a thing and strangles her. Renai finds Elise’s body and runs from room to room looking for Josh. She finds the camera first and is horrified when Josh appears. In the picture, the only figure is the bride in black.

Allison packs up everything in the apartment while explaining in a voice over that Heddie was never able to forgive herself for surviving when her sister died. Though she’s still mourning Sam, she will try to take Graham’s advice and move on, forgive Heddie, and forgive herself, because she knows what happens to someone who doesn’t. Credits roll over photos of half of Allison’s and Heddie’s faces, lined up as one.

Only Rose, Sharon, and Alessa’s mother Dahlia remain in the church after Alessa has her revenge upon the townsfolk. Rose takes Sharon back to where their car is still sitting on the road. As she drives, she calls Christoper to tell him she’s bringing their daughter home. He hears only static. They reach home and she sits on the chair across from the sofa where he’s sleeping. When he wakes up, the chair is empty. The front door is open, and outside it’s pouring rain. (Yes that’s right, Sean Bean lives.)

In Tuscany, the man formerly known as Dr. Newgate dances with Eliza at the asylum where he now works as ‘Dr. Lamb’.

Lawrence and his father face off in werewolf form. Lawrence wins the fight, decapitating his father, but the house is set on fire during the struggle. Gwen arrives on her white horse, but the Inspector shows up just a moment later. The mob of townsfolk chase Lawrence and Gwen into the trees, where Lawrence corners her against the ravine edge. She tries to talk him down, but it doesn’t work, so she shoots him with the silver bullet. He grabs her hand as he turns back into a man. He dies in her arms after telling her it had to be this way.

Julie mistakenly believes Ray has something to do with the murders when she realizes he was the ‘friend’ of David’s who went to speak with Missy. Before he can explain, she flees--right onto the ship of the real killer, Benjamin WIllis. He was the one who murdered David as revenge for his daughter’s death, and was still alive when they threw him into the sea. As she tries to escape, she finds the bodies of her dead friends in the ice on the ship. Ray arrives, and together they manage to defeat Benjamin. Relieved to know they were not actually responsible for any deaths, the pair still deny having any idea why Benjamin was after them when they answer police questions. Julie returns to school. She’s on the phone with Ray while she runs water for the shower. After the call ends, ‘I STILL KNOW’ appears written on the foggy glass, and a dark shape attacks her.

The camera pans along the roof of the asylum with a voice over of the doctor asking Simon where he lives. Simon answers, “I live in the weak and the wounded.”

The biggest twist is either that the boyfriend survives for once or Ragnar--I mean blonde butcher/henchman/cleric--suddenly being able to speak English and explain the statue is a ‘curse’ that’s always been on their land.

Ellison discovers ‘extended cut’ versions of the murder tapes, revealing the missing youngest children to be the culprits. He finally moves his family out of the murder house, but a call from Deputy So-and-So reveals each family was murdered only after they moved out of the house where the previous murders were committed. Too late! Ellison’s daughter has already drugged the whole family. “Don’t worry, Daddy, I’ll make you famous again,” she says as she proceeds to record the axe murder of the entire family. Then she paints the walls with their blood (literally) and joins the other children with Mr. Boogie/Bughuul in the projection. The box of tapes appears in the attic.

Jay sleeps with Paul, passing ‘It’ off to him. He drives down a dingy street, watching two prostitutes as he looks for someone else to take It. Jay and Paul walk down the street holding hands. An out of focus figure trails them. The camera slowly catches up to them from behind.

Chuckie goes to pick up Will, but he’s no longer there. Before he leaves to go traveling, Sean finds the letter Will left him, saying he’s gone to see about a girl. “Son of a bitch. He stole my line,” he says with a smile. Credits roll in front of Will’s junky new car heading down the highway.

Peter visits the graveyard one last time and rides away on Horse. They become a light rising into the sky. Willa watches as a new star joins Beverly’s in Orion’s belt.

The camera recorded her shifting in her sleep as the old man lays motionless beside her in the same position as he will be found dead in the morning.

Inés walks behind the cart that carries Lorenzo’s body following his execution. She grasps his hand and carries the baby Alicia left behind in her other arm as children dance around them singing. Goya calls her name, but she only looks back at him and smiles.

Follow up facts: Jessie, Jason, and Damien were able to negotiate a plea deal that allowed their release while remaining convicted felons. After a second sample was collected, traces of Terry Hobbs’ DNA was found on the ligatures. John Mark Byers’ wife was later found dead in their home in ‘unresolved’ circumstances.

Megan breaks up with Matt at the airport instead of getting on the plane and eloping. She goes to the prom where she finds Annika sitting alone at a table, and tells her she’s figured out that you can’t let an imaginary future hold you back. Annika tells Junior her feelings for him and they dance to the last song of prom as an official couple. Megan leaves and goes to make Craig a peace offering in the form of a box of wine. He accepts. Happily ever after??
