(sighs) I won't lie to you, guys. Living in LA for a year now has been the most fun, yet stressful time of my life. While I've got the chance to live on my own for the first time, make new friends, visit new places and just do new things, I also moved at the worst time possible where the animation industry started to crash and burn, leaving me umemployed for a whole year without full-time work. I'm sending in hundreds applications and emails and I'm either rejected or ghosted. Two years, you're getting tons of freelance gigs, and the next, you're doing nothing, which took a bit of a toll on my finances, mental health and motivation. I just wrapped up on a super small freelance gig right now, but that's just barely paying my bills. I'm trying my best to stay positive and stay creative as the animation industry is in a bad spot right now, but things just seem so grim in times like these. Hopefully things get better soon (like, VERY soon), but just wanted to speak my mind.
